At Acredale Animal Hospital, we know that pets are so much more than animals—they're family, best friends, constant companions, and the keepers of some of life's most treasured memories.

On this Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, we honor the beloved pets who have touched our lives and the families who continue to carry them in their hearts. It has been our privilege to care for so many incredible companions throughout their lives, and it is an honor we never take for granted to support families during one of the hardest moments they may ever face.

A microchip is a lifetime ID for your furry family member, but it only works if your contact details are correct! If you move or change phone numbers, updating your pet's registry is the most important step to bringing them home if they ever get lost.

Here is your quick 3-step microchip checkup:

1) Find your pet's chip number: Check your adoption paperwork, vet records, or bring them by so we can quickly scan them for you!

2) Visit the AAHA Universal Microchip Tool (linked in the first comment below) to see which company hosts your pet's chip.

3) Verify your info: Log in and make sure your current phone number, email, and home address are completely accurate.
