Imagine hurting every single day and having no idea why.

Your skin is raw and sore. You’re missing hair all over your body, and you’re so itchy that you keep scratching, even though it only makes everything hurt more. Your eyes are swollen and irritated. You’re uncomfortable, probably exhausted, and you have no idea why any of this is happening to you. You just know that you hurt.

And then, on top of all of that, you find yourself in a strange place, surrounded by unfamiliar sounds, smells, and people. You don’t know why you’re there or what’s going to happen next.

For Pebbles, this isn’t something to imagine. This is what her life looks like right now. 💔

And while she had no way of understanding it, whether she ever got the chance to stop hurting depended on someone choosing to save her.

Pebbles is estimated to be about 5 to 7 years old and was at risk of being euthanized if no one stepped up for her. When we saw her, we knew we couldn’t let her story end there.

Despite everything she is going through, Pebbles is incredibly sweet and social. She has severe hair loss, raw and open skin, suspected mange, a significant skin infection, and swelling and discharge around both eyes. She has already started treatment, but she still has a long road ahead.

It’s also pretty evident that Pebbles has had puppies before, more than likely several litters. We don’t know her history or whether she was used for breeding, but we do know she deserved better than this.

So we said yes. ❤️

Pebbles will be coming to Hope for Life Rescue on Monday, and now she finally gets the chance to start over.

🚨 FOSTER NEEDED BY SEPTEMBER 1! 🚨

Mama Treble & her 3 puppies need a new foster home! 🐶🐾

Mama Treble’s current foster has given us such a wonderful update about this little family, and now we need someone to step up and continue caring for them beginning September 1st!

❤️ Mama Treble is a sweetheart!
She is:

* Dog, cat & kid friendly
* Loving and affectionate — personal space is definitely not her thing! 😂
* Crate trained and sleeps through the night with her babies
* Almost completely house trained
* Good on a leash
* Treat motivated and learning commands
* A little unsure of new people and unfamiliar dogs at first, but warms up quickly
* Happiest when she has some space to get her zoomies out!

And her three puppies are starting to show their adorable little personalities! 🥹 One is sweet and calm, one is the fearless little adventurer of the group, and one loves curling up in your lap for a nap. All three love being held, playing with people and their foster family’s big dog, and they’re eating great!

Their current foster has done an amazing job getting this family off to a wonderful start. Now we need another foster to take over on September 1st.

🚨💔 THIS IS IT 💔🚨

We are desperate. If there’s ever been a moment to spare $10 for a bag of food or $55 for a bottle of cleanser that protects our animals from illness… this really is it. 🙏🐾

Our last few pleas brought in some donations, and we are so incredibly grateful for the generosity. ❤️ But the heartbreaking reality is that it was barely enough to get us through another week or two.

Normally, our storage room holds MONTHS of reserves. Right now, it is completely depleted. Empty shelves. No backup. Those few weeks of donated supplies were all we had and they’re almost gone. 😔 These supplies are part of what make it easier for us to say YES to saving more lives.

We are not state funded. There aren’t grants being given to us for supplies. We don’t have an endless supply budget. These animals have what they need because YOU provide it. 🐶🐱❤️

Every bag of food fills hungry bellies. Every box of litter keeps kittens clean and comfortable. Every bottle of cleanser helps protect vulnerable animals from dangerous illness. These aren’t extras. They are life necessities.

Our wish list has been cut down to ONLY our most critical needs. If it’s on there, we desperately need it. 🚨

We hate having to keep asking. But when an abandoned, injured, abused or neglected animal comes through our doors, we want to keep being able to say, “Yes. You’re safe now.” ❤️‍🩹

🎾 Chase is the Fetch King! 👑🐾

At about 11 years old, Chase has mastered the art of enjoying the good life: running after his favorite toy or lounging on the couch with his people. ❤️

Chase can be fearful of men and takes some time to trust his people, but the best way to win him over is simple… PLAY FETCH! 🎾 Once he trusts you, you’ll have a best buddy for life.

✨ Potty trained
✨ Does well with calm dogs, big and small
✨ Loves fetch and couch time
✨ Needs a little patience while he builds trust
✨ Not recommended for young children because he can become nippy if touched in a way that makes him uncomfortable
