It's almost time for Summer Reading! We're kicking off this year's challenge with a celebration at Showse Park! Wild Hooves Farm Animal Rescue & Petting Zoo will be there with animals to pet and feed, and the first 100 kids in attendance who register for the Summer Reading Challenge will receive a free coupon for a small Hawaiian Shaved Ice from the Kona Ice Truck.

Thank you to the Ritter Public Library Foundation for sponsoring this event as part of the Foundation Features event series, and to the Friends of Ritter Public Library for sponsoring this year's Summer Reading Challenge, Unearth a Story.

FINAL UPDATE: GOT MY BUNNY BACK and it’s reunited with mom and siblings. Thank you everyone and the power of the internet for locating who took it!!

Does anyone recognize this family? I am missing a baby bunny. Today between 5:10 pm and 5:30 pm, this family visited the farm. While reviewing camera footage, this family walked into where the baby bunnies are and a child is heard saying “imma steal one”. You can see a bulge in their pocket as they’re walking around after the fact. The baby bunny is not weaned and will die if it’s not returned to its mother.

There were at least two families visiting during this time. Both driving dark colored vehicles, one sedan (possible avenger) and one SUV. If you were visiting today during this time, and have any info, please message me!

This is the first time I’ve had something happen like this and makes me seriously reconsider allowing guests at my farm!

Wild Hooves Farm Traveling Petting Zoo Rates & Info

$250 /hr: 10 petting zoo animals, and 1 pony for rides
• Llama, Alpaca, Sheep, two goats, two rabbits, mini donkey, mini cow, mini horse, and a pony.
• 8 pounds of food to feed the animals and brushes to brush them - host may provide sliced apples or carrots.
**25 pony rides MAX for pony**
140lb weight limit
- The pony’s hair can be decorated with the birthday person’s favorite color or party theme.
- host can put a limit on pony rides by implementing a weight/ age/ height restriction.

100lb weight limit for second pony

$200 /hr: 10 petting zoo animals only
• NO pony rides
• Llama, Alpaca, sheep, two goats, two rabbits, mini donkey, mini cow and mini horse
• 8 pounds of food to feed the animals
• Brushes provided to brush the animals

$200/ hr: Pony rides only
• **25 pony rides MAX for pony**
• brushes are provided to brush the pony.
• carrots are provided to feed the pony.
• hair decorations are provided and the kids can decorate the pony.
• the children will be taught how to groom the pony
• the children will learn how to get the pony ready for rides while learning basic safety.
Add a second pony for $50/hour

100lb weight limit for second pony

Extras
• Extra food $10
• Unicorn horn added to the pony $10

* travel/ fuel fee: based on location of the event.
*a two hour minimum will be implemented if you are 40-59 mins away from my home location
*a three hour minimum will be implemented if you are 60+ mins away from my home location
*if I am already in your area for other events, the above mentioned minimums are waived.
*if you need to be listed as an additional insured there will be a $30 fee.
*the petting zoo pen is 36’ in circumference. But it can be shaped to fit most areas.
* host may provide additional food to feed the animals such as sliced apples or carrots. (Except if you have the pony rides only package) pony can only eat so much!

Took my llamas to a few care facilities on Christmas Day to visit with the residents!

Our very last petting zoo event every year is a live nativity on Christmas Eve. If it weren’t for such patient and willing animals, this would not be possible at all. Completely grateful for them.
