We had a SPOOKTACULAR time at the Goshen Coffee Company Halloween Pet Parade! What a fun event thanks to the continued support from our friends at Goshen Coffee. Their kindness makes all the difference 🎃🧡.

We want to thank the pet owners who came out today for the Parade. We know it isn’t easy to dress up your pup, walk the event, etc. You are ALL winners for supporting rescued pets 🐾🏅. And a special thanks to Spencer McDole for providing live music 🎸🎶. Let’s not forget our foster volunteer, Barb! Thanks for bringing these precious puppies to join the fun🎉.

💔 Miller has spent OVER 400 days in a shelter environment. 💔

❤️‍🩹 This goofy, lovable boy desperately needs your help. ❤️‍🩹

Miller joined the pack at Partners for Pets through a shelter-to-shelter transfer in May, and we’ve spent every day since trying to find the perfect fit for him. This sweet, loyal boy has spent far too long behind kennel doors-waiting for someone to finally give him a chance.

🐶 Meet Miller:
🧠 Eager to learn and quick to pick up new skills
💓 Loves to snuggle and soak up affection
🐾 Leash trained and enjoys walks
💛 Full of energy and a heart of gold
📷 Picture perfect personality
👩‍⚕️ 1 year, 10 months old | 58 lbs

Miller has so many wonderful qualities, but like all dogs, he has his quirks too. He simply needs the right match-a patient, loving home where he can decompress, feel safe, and continue to grow.

😎 Adult-only household
🤝 May be selective with dog friends—meet & greet recommended!
💊 Currently on anxiety medication to help him adjust to shelter life

With consistency, love, and structure, Miller will absolutely thrive. He’s been waiting far too long for his person to come along. Could that person be you—or maybe someone you know? Please help us find him the safe, happy home he deserves. 🙏

Why Wags at Watershed?
Each year we honor the memory of Brent Leh with an event to raise funds for the programs that save animals in our community. This year we are bringing the event from Troy to Edwardsville, Brent’s hometown. For those who don’t know, Brent was a veterinarian at Hawthorne Animal Hospital in Edwardsville. He was truly invested in the wellbeing of pets and took a special shine to our shelter, mainly a particular pup named Petey.

Someone dragged Petey behind a vehicle which mutilated his ge****ls and caused terrible scarring to his body. Brent was one of several vets who tried to reconstruct Petey so that he could urinate normally. Despite the best care, Petey never regained that ability and lived with us here at the shelter for the rest of his life. Brent would come out to take Petey on rides, or a hike, share a cheeseburger, and just spend some time with him. That was the kind of person Brent was.

Brent lost his life in a 2018 motorcycle accident and we still grieve the loss of a great doctor & friend. Your support of Wags at Watershed gives us the ability to help dogs that need us the most.
