Last night reminded me why I do what I do! Flowers really do bring people together…..ok, maaaaybe wine had a lot to do with it too ♥️

It is a collaboration like this with Owners Jackie and Rob of Wine For The Win that helps people discover all of the great things happening in the community! They have created such a fun-loving atmosphere that offers a great wine selection and might I add that all wine is locally sourced from Illinois wineries! They love finding the best local music talent for your entertainment AND they love promoting fun activities such as this one, paint nights, charcuterie classes, and more.

I cannot emphasize enough what a great place this was to discover and enjoy a night among great company! These pumpkins just keep getting more and more fantastic. Thanks for all who showed up…..your support means more than you know ♥️

One more pumpkin event to go and then we switch to Xmas events. Stay tuned……

What an amazing evening!

Big shoutout to Jenna from Chamber of Commerce Southwestern Madison County for organizing this event at Manhattan's Socialhouse.
This gem of a place in Granite City with its sultry speakeasy vibes provided the perfect backdrop for enjoying signature cocktails and crafting! Just look at all those pumpkin masterpieces!!!! 😍😍😍

Final shoutout to Jen and her family at Rinkel Pumpkin Farm who will be providing us with these gorgeous white pumpkins for our workshop this weekend.

Since the beginning of this flower journey, there has been a deep desire to join together communities by way of flowers. It has been so neat to take action this year to bring together FIVE businesses across FOUR communities to provide you with an unforgettable dried floral/pumpkin experience.

I cannot emphasis enough the power of community collaboration. When you get to personally interact with owners and their employees and families, it makes everything more genuine and meaningful.

From businesses recommending other businesses when they can’t fulfill a need, to owners taking time out of their own personal day to accommodate a request, I’ve seen firsthand that human decency and comradery and humanity still exists in the business world. My spring didn’t go as planned. My summer didn’t go as planned. My fall isn’t going according to plan. What did go according to plan?
Life….with all of its unpredictability, it still churns out a subtle hint that plans are meant to be flexible, change, and bend in all kinds of directions. This is where the grit, determination, focus, and readjustments of the beautiful mind are put to the test.

I always dig a challenge….this year has been no exception. Between the last few savoring moments of a kid flying the coop, an unexpected loss of a beloved dog, a few medical issues rounding out the season with an appendectomy, to several vacations to make up for the times lost during COVID….I won’t apologize or regret any decisions made…..but goodness! Nature, weather, and the goodwill of the earth sure didn’t care what my plans were, it still did what it always does…create balance and chaos simultaneously 😆

I’ve had to grin and bear a season that didn’t look like it was supposed to….but I was still able to count so many blessings! To all the people that I was able to fill a request for, thank you! And an even bigger thank you to the people that reached out but I couldn’t fulfill a request, I appreciate you sticking around and giving grace to the situation. So so glad I was able to fulfill one special request for a hoco ‘posal’ ….it warmed my heart to get to play a small part in creating memories for these two 🥰

I always feel like I need to do the justice of explaining the hard parts even though it may be masked with beauty….Yes, I post beautiful pictures, but I feel they cannot truly be appreciated until you get the true story behind the scenes. My season definitely does not reflect the gorgeous flowers arranged perfectly in those vases. Instead, I hope it reflects the vulnerability of being honest.

Let’s get you caught up……..

The last of the Lisianthus has come and gone, hopefully another wave will hit in late September🤞🏼
The sweetest person (aka Laura Harris-Garrett) brought by a flower basket that she found thrifting so of course we had to have a photo shoot!

My vertical growing obsession is strong and putting on a great display 😍. I grew three kinds of butterfly pea flowers this season and wow the baby blue color is winning me over!

Dahlias are hitting their stride and roses are making a comeback, my fruit game is still going strong as are the loofahs and birdhouse gourds….yes 💪🏼. Monarch butterfly in the orange zinnia patch will make your heart flutter 😍😍😍

Cats in pictures will steal the show every time! Celosia is so darn beautiful and will forever have a place in my garden. Literally…..thousand and thousands of tiny seeds everywhere, I always have surprise pop ups every season!

So many weeds, the piles can literally swallow me whole. Wheelbarrow after wheelbarrow, I’m at my whits end, they win 👎🏼

Bumble Bee butts will make your day and bright colored fruits and veggies keep us happy as do the eggs that the hens started laying whoop whoop 🙌🏼.
And now you are all caught up for the season. It’s been an interesting one, and it’s not even over yet. Wonder what else this season will bring 🤷‍♀️. Bring it, I’m not afraid. Well maybe…..I am.

If you need a back to school bouquet for yourself or your child’s teacher this week, I’ve got you covered. I’m located a mile from Silver Creek Elementary if you need to pick up one along the way 😁

Two businesses that come together who just so happen to have the word heart and soul in their name……….no coincidence!

A big thank you to Jamie of SoCal Soul for providing this incredible plant shop in Edwardsville as the backdrop for tonight’s event. We got to witness an amazing group of people just having fun and loving and appreciating everything around them.

Unfortunately I just can’t get this insurance thing to work out for you all coming onto my property for u-picks. So I’m pivoting……

Instead, let me begin to offer you Bloom Buckets. This is will be a selection of flowers cut for you to grab and go. You can take the bucket home and uncage your inner florist! Yep, you got that right…you have free will over how to arrange and group your flowers into the most beautiful, unique arrangement. Each bucket will give you enough flowers equal to one large arrangement…or 3 small arrangements for gifting…..or whatever your heart desires, that’s the beauty of this offering!

$45 —bucket included. Porch pick up. Let me know if interested….we can begin this as soon as next week 🤗
