Doctors are focused on their area of interest to ensure that patients receive the best care possible. Dr. Michael is dedicated to performing large animal services, Dr. Niki provides small animal services along with some small ruminant medicine, and Dr. Chelsea Baxley tackles large and small animal medicine. In addition to our doctors, we retain a caring and enthusiastic staff who genuinely shares

our passion for animals and their owners. Our diversity places us in the unique position of treating most domestic animals that you may keep as pets, including, but not limited to dogs, cats, cattle, horses, sheep, goats, llamas, alpacas, even a few pigs! It is important to us to develop relationships with you and your pets, companions, and/or livestock to ensure a mutual level of trust and respect so that you can be confident about our recommendations and the quality of care we wish to provide.

Just a tiny reminder to slow down, and appreciate the small(and cute) moments life gives us. 💛

Did you know pets can experience anxiety just like people do? đŸŸâšĄ

Storms, loud noises, changes in routine, vet visits, and even being left alone can trigger stress and anxiety in our furry friends. Some signs may be obvious, while others are easy to miss.

Keep an eye out for behaviors like:
đŸ¶ Barking or howling
đŸŸ Pacing or hiding
🩮 Chewing or destructive behavior
đŸšȘ Trying to escape
đŸ± Unusual bathroom habits
⛏ Digging

If your pet is showing signs of anxiety, don’t worry—you’re not alone, and there are ways we can help them feel more comfortable and secure. Give us a call to talk about options for your pet’s stress and anxiety management. 💙

As we wrap up , we’re excited to recognize our final (but certainly not least!) amazing CSR—Krisha Collins!

Krisha will be celebrating her first full year with LVCC this July, and from day one, she’s felt like part of the team. Her positive attitude and natural fit with our clinic make it seem like she’s been here for years.

At work, Krisha keeps our reminder calls running smoothly and brings creativity to life with our bulletin boards. Outside the clinic, she’s been married to her partner, Brad, for 11 years. Together they have a son, Orion, and two dogs who keep life fun and busy! In her free time, she enjoys gaming, reading, and coloring with her kiddo.

Krisha, thank you for everything you do for our team and our clients—we truly appreciate you! And to all of our incredible CSRs, we hope you feel celebrated not just this week, but every day. đŸŸ

Heartworm disease is serious—and it all starts with just *one* mosquito bite.

These parasites grow quickly, traveling to your dog’s heart and lungs, where they can cause lasting damage, breathing issues, and even heart failure. In many cases, the signs—like coughing, fatigue, or weight loss—don’t show up until the disease has already progressed.

The good news? Heartworm disease is *preventable*. Monthly prevention and yearly testing are the best ways to protect your dog and keep them healthy.

Don’t wait—make sure your pet is covered year-round. đŸŸ

Today, we’re recognizing Sondra Baker! She quickly become a pro at all things here! Sondra brought over 13 years of veterinary office experience with her, and it shows in everything she does.

She keeps us on our toes, keeps things running in line, and her infectious laugh brightens even the busiest days.

When someone has dedicated so many years to caring for clients and patients, it truly deserves an extra special THANK YOU. Sondra, we’re so glad you’re part of our team!

This week is , and we’re celebrating the incredible client service representatives, office staff, and frontline team who keep our clinic running smoothly every single day. These friendly faces are the first to greet our clients and patients—and they set the tone for every visit that follows.

Is there ever a big enough “thank you” for someone who gives so much? Today, we’re shining a spotlight on Kim Walker, who has been a valued member of the LVCC team for nearly 10 years. Kim knows many of our clients and patients by name—and often by voice alone! She plays a key role in training new team members, supports working interviews, and keeps our reminder system on track so patients stay up to date on their annual exams.

Outside the clinic, Kim is just as amazing—she’s raised three wonderful young men and is a proud grandmother to an adorable grandson we all adore.
Kim also keeps her hands full with a cat and NEW puppyđŸ€©

Kim, thank you for your dedication, your willingness to keep learning, and for sharing your knowledge with those around you. We’re so grateful for everything you do!

This week is , and we’re celebrating the incredible team behind the front desk—our client service representatives, office staff, and frontline team. They’re the friendly faces who welcome every client and patient and help keep our days running smoothly.

Today, we want to give a huge thank you to Karen Painter! Karen has been part of the LVCC family for over 18 years and is an incredibly valued team member. You may see her greeting clients, answering phones, or scheduling appointments—but behind the scenes, she also manages payroll and oversees inventory with exceptional attention to detail.

Outside of work, Karen is a wonderful mom to her three kids and a devoted cat lover(you’ll probably catch her trying to cuddle your kitty when you bring it in)

Karen, thank you for your years of dedication and for taking such great care of our clients, patients, team, and the supplies that keep us going. We appreciate you more than you know!

Today, we’re especially grateful for our longest-tenured team member, Marilu Walla. Marilu has been with us since the Lunsfords moved into our current facility nearly 24 years ago. Her dedication to our mission—treating every client and coworker like family—shows in everything she does.
