😆 it’s never dull with horses

Today was exciting. I went down to feed Murphy and his manhood was hanging out . Not only was it hanging out but he was trying to bite at it . I pulled him out of the stall to take a look . 👀 Turns out Mr. Murphy had a wood splinter in his p***s. About 2 inches from the head. When I started to gently try and pull it out he sucked that thing up at the speed of light. I dropped the tweezers and managed to grab it before all was lost to planet sheath . Have any of you seen that shower wall scene in Porky’s ? Anyway I digress .
I got the splinter pulled out and the area flushed and ointment applied. Murphy kept saying my hands were too cold . Sorry Murph ! Think about that next time before you mount a tree , or whatever you did . I do have questions though . Are we alone in the universe ? Will Fleetwood Mac ever get back together? Why does Murphy have a splinter in his p***s ? I have no answers . Maybe Murphy is into trees now , like really into them . An extreme Arborist if you will . Maybe some how hit his stall wall ? Maybe he Broke out and found a wood chip pile to make sweet love to ? I honestly don’t know . What I do know is I want 2 hours of my life back, and that Murphy is following me around now like we are dating . Murphy’s 🍆will recover completely. Thanks for the fun afternoon Moof! Keep your man parts to yourself buddy . 🙄😂🤦‍♀️

Next in our lineup of available horses is Laiken ROF.

Laiken was the very first BUCKSKIN to be entered into the Friesian Sporthorse Registry. She is a 2015 Main Book mare and standing in the mid 16s. She is currently pictured with her winter jammies, so her coat appears a little darker. She does grow a really lovel,y long mane, but it was pulled in anticipation of being braided for her foal's inspection.

Laiken is by Grand Prix Friesian Sporthorse, Lexington, and out of Blue Eyed Mist, a German Warmblood mare by Blue Eyed Dream, an upper-level dressage stallion that was imported to the USA.

Laiken was under saddle before joining the Murder Hollow mare lineup and is ready to go back to work.

Like Sugar, you can see that Laiken has also not missed a meal...

I have a couple lovely riding age horses for sale - they will be available for the next few weeks and if unsold will head to the trainers. First up is Heatherstone Sugartime.

Sugar is a very large 2017 Hackney Horse standing over 16h. She has been in our breeding program since she was a youngster and is ready to be started. She has been handled daily and has received regular farrier and healthcare.

Sugar has produced several excellent purebred Hackney Horse foals as well as some incredible crosses. She adds the classic Hackney Horse elegant gaits and unmatched stamina. Hackney Horses are the foundation of many of our modern sport breeds and are now a critically endangered breed. With few mares in the breeding pool, I would love to see this mare in the hands of a breeding home. The Rare Breeds Survival Trust (RBST) has expressed significant concern for the breed, noting its population size has dropped close to the United Nations' level of concern. In the breed's home country, Great Britain, only 31 mares produced registered offspring in the recent year.

Sugar's sire is Jim Bob Ballantrae (Brooklawn's Cavalier x Sindy Lee Ballantrae) and out of Heatherstone Honey (Heatherstone High Cotton x Heatherstone Royal Heather).

While she is unstarted, she is an uncomplicated and willing mare.

As you can see from her photos, she hasn't missed a meal LOL

When I started in this breed, the other breeders all thought I was crazy (well...they probably still do lol). None of them successfully marketed wellbred Warmblood Knabstrupper crosses to the broader North American market. Nor had they campaigned stallions to the larger Warmblood market. Nor did they think the breed had a place in the Hunter market. Well, they were wrong 😜

I can say I think we've done a pretty damn good job 😏. We campaigned the first Knabstrupper stallion in Hunter classes. We had the first North American Knabstrupper stallion to receive dual licensing with the Warmblood registry, AES. Heck we even beat out other Warmblood stallions at Dressage at Devon for Get of Sire. It was a battle to get here, and I'm thrilled to have opened the doors for more North American breeders who have since discovered the breed. I've made some incredible friends on this journey, and I am so happy to say that I'll be continuing breeding our wonderful horses - just on a smaller scale.

Here is a peek at one of our really fabulous c**ts from the 2025 season. He is heading to Florida this week to join Acacia Tsamoutales (in partnership with Laurie Bosio). This is the first foal out of a Pax filly I kept - she is out of my Prix St Georges mare, Cinderella. This c**t is by Sartors Falcetto aka Hades - one of the very few purebred Sport type Knabsturppers to ever be offered to the North American market - who was also campaigned and licensed here at Murder Hollow.

Looking forward to watching this kiddo's journey!
