It’s time for for puppy mush and they gobbled it right up! 🥰 Scroll through to watch them go! And of course, who can resist a cute post puppy mush face. 🥰 Once they are all through, mama gets to make sure all the bowls are nice and clean. 😋 What do we put in their puppy mush? We feed our pups Annamaet Puppy with a little puppy formula and pumpkin to help digestion. 🐾

I’ve been sick so I’ve been slightly MIA. While I haven’t been able to take those formal looking extra cute individual shots, I’m still able to take candids and these cuties don’t make it difficult! Day in the life… I often go back through our video feed to count the number of times Leia has fed the puppies (they’re getting so big!!!) and I came upon this. My daughter and I working together to register weights (yes, on my phone app 😂) and her helping me do puppy exercises. I love that I get to share this with her. Helping to foster a love of animals in her and a love of humans in them. 🐶💗🐾

Some of you may know I am also a teacher and I love being able to incorporate what we do in breeding into our science classroom because it is so applicable! The day after the puppies were born, I brought a pic of Leia and the puppies and we discussed the characteristics of life. The students then had to draw a pic depicting their own versions/understanding. When everything was handed in, I got this really cute drawing of Leia and her pups from one of the students. I love seeing how our students soak it in when it they can see science in life. So fun!🐶💗🧬👩‍🔬 🐾

We have been very busy at Stony Run Puppies the last couple of days! Early in the week, Leia had been awake laboring through the night. Finally, Wednesday morning (8/30) at 3:45 am, Leia started delivering her puppies! She finished around 7:30 am and safely delivered 6 boys and 3 girls! Everyone is nursing well, gaining weight nicely and making the cutest little sounds! They are so stinking adorable and watching Leia mother them is such a gift. 💗🥰 She has taken every moment to be with her puppies ever since having them, only taking breaks to use the bathroom and when she hears the other dogs getting treats, of course!

I have to admit, that as a teacher myself, I could not give up the chance to name all of our puppies after our favorite teachers and others who have influenced our lives. Among all of the puppies, you will see our favorite school teachers (elementary, math and music), hip hop teachers and coaches. Thank you to those who have taught us and who continue to pour their love into our children!💗
