Quick Test: Place the back of your hand on the pavement for 5 seconds. If you can't keep it there, neither can your dog.

Summer is officially here and so is the heat.

Pets can overheat quickly, especially flat-faced breeds, senior pets, and those with thick coats. Watch for:

- Heavy panting
- Excessive drooling
- Lethargy and/or weakness
- Vomiting

If you notice these signs, move your pet to a cool area and call us right away.

Our front entrance and exam rooms remain closed due to the flooding. We anticipate this closure will continue for several weeks as the necessary repairs are made. We are still open for appointments, but may run on a limited schedule. We have been seeing patients curbside, much as we did during COVID. When you arrive for your appointment, please park in the back lot and call the hospital at 215-257-6515 when you arrive.

Please DO NOT walk to the front door or the front of the building as you will not have access.
Please DO NOT move or drive over the orange cones; these are in place to prevent access to the front of the building.

Updates will be provided via email and our page.

A few things to prepare:

• Make sure flea/tick/heartworm prevention is current
• Research if a health certificate is needed for travel.
• Pack food, water, meds, and vet records
• Update microchip contact info
• Never leave pets in hot cars
