This week, we celebrate the heart of our front desk โ€” our amazing Client Care team! ๐Ÿพ

You are the friendly voice on the phone, the warm welcome at the door, and the calm in the chaos. From comforting worried pet parents to keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, your compassion and dedication never go unnoticed.

Thank you for your patience, your kindness, and the countless ways you support both our team and the animals we love. We truly couldnโ€™t do it without you!

Itโ€™s National Heartworm Prevention Monthโ€ฆ but can we talk about ticks for a second?

Gus: Did you say ticksโ‰ ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿถ

If youโ€™ve been finding ticks on your dog after walks, youโ€™re not aloneโ€”weโ€™ve been hearing that from many of our clients already. We are diagnosing Lyme disease and ehrlichiosis in our patients every day. Thatโ€™s why 4DX testing matters.

Without testing, we cannot diagnose. Without a diagnosis, we cannot treat. And many dogs show no symptoms early on.

Dr. Rossi's grandson is concerned and for good reason! The discussion continues on our blog post. Click the link to find out more about Lyme disease and testing: ๐Ÿ‘‡

In October, North Penn Animal Hospital adopted a mile of Allentown Road, from Forty Foot Road to Wampold Road, thanks to Shari! ๐Ÿ’š

The amazing team members, Greg, Nicole, Carin, Sharon, Shari, Dr. Goldacker, Amanda, and Dr. Engler, were out bright and early on a Sunday morning to collect trash and make a positive impact in our community. ๐Ÿ—‘๐ŸŒŽ

We are so proud of all of you for braving the chilly air, tackling the tall weeds (and ticks!), and even making a new friend, a cute little salamander! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

CATS AND LILIES DON'T MIX

Easter is next Sunday, April 5th, and lilies are in abundance. You want to be aware of lilies now, but they are a common flower in flower arrangements year-round.

Several Lily varieties are HIGHLY TOXIC to your cat and can result in kidney failure and death.

All parts are poisonous: ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ’

Leaves, stems, stamens, pollen, petals, even the water! Even if they lick pollen off their fur or eat a small piece of a leaf or petal, it can cause kidney failure.

If you suspect your cat ingested or came into contact with lilies, please call us immediately at 215-855-5853 or the ASPCA Poison Control Center at 888-426-4435.

Please share the information with your friends and family. Let's keep our fur families safe.๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ›

Did you know that we provide ultrasound and echocardiogram services?

Our experienced team, including Dr. Dawn Goldacker and Kristie, one of our Certified Veterinary Technicians, conducts these essential diagnostic procedures, both of whom have extensive training. They promptly send the results for professional review and typically receive the findings within 1 to 2 days.

In our company meeting yesterday, Kristie, CVT, delivered an insightful presentation about echocardiograms. She covered various aspects of the procedure, highlighting its importance in assessing heart health. The information she shared was both enlightening and beneficial for our team.

If you have questions or would like more information, please contact us. We are here to help with all your fur family needs.

Happy St. Patrick's Day from your NPAH family! ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒˆ

โ˜˜May the luck of the Irish be with you!

โ˜˜May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back.

โ˜˜May your blessings outnumber the shamrocks that grow, and may trouble avoid you wherever you go.

We are showing our Irish today, and Hunter and Rosie's mom, Joy (NPAH Tech!), let them wear their 4-leaf clovers. We want to know how you're celebrating today.

Wearing green?
Wearing shamrocks?
Eating Irish food?
Listening to Irish music?

Spring Forward! ๐Ÿ•‘๐Ÿ•’

Daylight Saving Time starts on Sunday at 2 am. Set your clock ahead one hour tonight before you go to bed. ๐Ÿ›Œ

Asher wasnโ€™t sure about this until we told him it would stay light longer, which means longer walks! Now Asher is happy about Daylight Saving. ๐Ÿถ

Asherโ€™s mom is our new Client Care Coordinator, Gabby! Say hi to her the next time youโ€™re in. ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ‘‹

๐Ÿ˜˜If you are wondering about this cute boy, Asher is a mix of a Husky and a Pomeranian. He is so adorable!

Look at these two cuties! Kepler is 12 years young and AJ is 14 years young! They came in today for their 6-month wellness visits with Dr. Johnson, which we recommend starting at age 7. Full exams and bloodwork twice a year can help us catch health issues earlier as your pet ages.

Thanks for visiting us today, boys! You are so cute, and we love seeing you. ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ˜˜

Did you know you can schedule your pet's wellness visits online? Use the pop-up on our website https://npah.com/forms/make-an-appointment-2/ or access our Otto app on your browser at pet.otto.vet or on your mobile phone by downloading the Otto mobile app.
