Our team just wanted to share a TIMELY update. As of today, Monday, September 29th at 9:00 am our phones and internet are currently down due to an area-wide outage. We are taking the steps internally to contact today’s scheduled patients while our service provider, Xfinity, works to resolve this issue. We have not been given a timeline as to when service will be restored.

That said, if you are trying to call our team to make an appointment or inquire about your pet’s care we will do our best to return your messages and emails once service is restored. We thank you so much for your patience and continued support.

Also, if your pet is in need of urgent or emergency care, we highly recommend you reach out to one of the following emergency veterinary hospitals to secure the care you need.

Happy Responsible Dog Ownership Day! 🐾 Today, we celebrate the incredible bond we share with our dogs and the commitment we make to give them the best life possible.

Being a responsible dog owner is a commitment to love and care for your pet for life! This means regular vet check-ups, providing consistent training, ensuring they get plenty of exercise, and always doing our best to do what’s right for our dogs. While dog ownership done right can be lots of work, it’s a privilege to care for our loving and loyal pups! ♥️🐕

Did you know we offer Urgent Care services in addition to regular check-ups and surgery services? Urgent Care for pets is similar to how it is for humans. Dogs and cats who are experiencing urgent, non-life-threatening conditions can get care as quickly as possible. We hold urgent care appointment slots in our daily schedule to allow our medical team to respond quickly to conditions that need swift solutions.

Some examples of urgent care situations we treat at Elliott Bay Animal Hospital:

🐾 Minor wounds or burns

🐾 Limping or pain

🐾 Ear or skin infections

🐾 Non-life-threatening allergic reactions or toxin ingestions

🐾 Vomiting and diarrhea

🐾 Urinary Tract Infections

If you find yourself in an urgent scenario, keep us in mind for quick, compassionate care! You can make an appointment by giving us a call. 🐶🐱

It's National Black Cat Appreciation Day! If you know a black cat, make sure to show them extra love today! 🐈‍⬛

We’re highlighting the very special Fern, who resides with our Client Care Coordinator, Nicole. A difficult boy to capture in photos, Fern embodies the classic black cat traits of being as smart as he is mysterious. 🖤

Say hello to Mookie, the showstopper! 📸🐾

Mookie is the beloved cat of our Veterinary Assistant Elena, but his favorite person (and his personal photographer) is Elena’s husband. We think this photo perfectly captures Mookie’s charm, personality, and model-like qualities. What do you think? 🐈✨
