It's World Diabetes Day! This is your friendly reminder that pets get diabetes, too. The most common signs are excessive thirst, urination, hunger, and unexplained weight loss. Your pet doesn't have to have all of them to have a problem!

To our wonderful clients,
You may have noticed recently that there has been a lot of uncertainty around government food assistance programs, which has already depleted many food banks. This is particularly distressing as we are entering the holiday season as well as the colder months.
At Seattle Veterinary Associates, one of our core values is “Give to Your Community.” With this in mind, we are hosting a food drive to benefit Northwest Harvest. Each of the five SVA locations will have a box for non-perishable food donations. This drive will run until the end of the year.
Northwest Harvest aims “to grow food justice through collective action by addressing the systemic causes of hunger.” They have community partnerships across Washington, so your donation will help food banks, not just locally, but for the whole state. We are celebrating Howl-O-Ween at on Sunday, October 26th from 4PM - 6PM. We'll be joined by MEOW Cat Rescue and . We'll be taking Howl-o-ween photos of your pet (and you, if you'd like) with a suggested donation of $5 which will be donated directly to the rescues. Come have delicious beer and hang out with the cutest dogs ever: yours!
