BLACK CAT FRIDAY!

Raven is 3 years-old and sponsored by Christine and Anthony Durso. SNAP Cats rescued Raven from Long Beach, CA. Raven is an extremely vocal cat, who's full of energy and loves to play. Her ataxia doesn’t stop her from doing anything! Raven loves attention and wet food treats. She gets along well with the other kitties here, so Raven will make a wonderful addition to a home with cats.

Please Note: Raven doesn't always use the box here. That could change in a new home with less cats. But we can't guarantee it.

If you’re interested in Raven please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks.

Sampson wishes everyone a Happy National Cat Day!

Why not honor the day by sponsoring one of our kitties, like Sampson. Sponsoring one of our kitties makes sure that they receive everything that they need while they’re here at SNAP Cats.

You can see the kitties who need a sponsor at https://www.snapcats.org/donate-today/sponsor-a-cat/.

Thanks!

WHITE CAT WEDNESDAY!

Violet is 2 years 9 months-old and sponsored by Alex Huie. SNAP Cats rescued Violet from San Bernardino, CA. Violet was found in a small colony of stray cats in San Bernardino covered in mange. She was taken to a local rescue called PawLove.org, where Kimberly treated Violet for mange, got her spayed and up to date on vaccines, and that’s when they learned Violet is FIV+. Kimberly’s organization doesn’t normally adopt out cats (they help where we can with the homeless animal population and those that need them), so she reached out to us.

We think Violet will thrive in a quieter environment with fewer kitties. Right now she’s a bit skittish, but once she gets to knows you she loves pets and attention. So we’d like to find a new home for Violet ASAP.

If you can give Violet a new home please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks.

This is Birdie. She’s about 4 years-old and FeLV+. A neighbor of Janice fed and cared for several cats in the neighborhood. Unfortunately the neighbor committed su***de. She had sent Janice a letter asking her to take care of the cats. Most of the 8 cats were feral and Janice was able to trap and rehome all but Birdie. At that time Birdie appeared to be blind in one eye and had an infection in the other. Janice worked with Birdie and eventually was able to pick her up and hold her. Janice made an appointment with her vet and that’s when she learned Birdie is FeLV+. Not knowing where to turn Janice emailed us…

And the rest is history.

Birdie came in on Saturday, but it was such a busy day we didn’t have time to post it.

Thank you, Janice, for taking care of Birdie and bringing her here to SNAP Cats!

GRAY CAT FRIDAY!

This is Charlie. He’s 16 years-young. Charlie was dumped by his family at West Valley Animal Shelter in Chatsworth , CA. He was 30 minutes away from being euthanized when we received a plea to save his life...

Of course we did!

Charlie’s medical evaluation says he’s lethargic, underweight, BCS 2/9, generalized muscle atrophy, has dilated pupils, stained teeth, missing most incisors, heavy dental calculus, periodontal disease, ulcerated gingivitis, stomatitis, heart murmur grade 4/6, polyuria, a dull coat, and is not eating.

Other than that, he’s in great shape!

Charlie’s headed our way this Sunday with Pilot Thomas. At least we think he is. The last Charlie that Pilot Thomas tried to fly up here ended up being adopted by the Thomas family. We’ll see.

Thank you, Marguerite, for pulling Charlie from the shelter and transporting him to Lynette. Thank you, Lynette, for fostering Charlie until we secured a flight up here. Thank you, Michelle, for coordinating the foster care and flight. And thank you, Pilot Thomas, for (maybe?) flying Charlie up from Southern California! 😊

Coco’s 1 year 3 months-old and sponsored by Karen Langland. SNAP Cats rescued Coco from San Francisco, CA. Look who joined The 60% Club! That’s right Coco came to SNAP Cats FeLV+ in February 2026. But since she’s been so active and healthy, we tested her again and she tested negative! Coco makes number 12 (out of 19 cats) that’ve naturally shed the virus here. Congrats, Coco!

For those who don’t know, 60% of adult cats with FeLV can naturally shed the virus and stay virus-free for the rest of their lives.

Coco is extremely sweet and outgoing. She’s then first kitty to greet you when entering our FeLV+ Habitat, and hounds you for pets and attention until you leave. Coco is great with other cats, and uses the litter box 100% of the time.

Please read Coco’s full story at https://www.snapcats.org/2026/02/27/adopt_coco_22297325/

If you’re interested in Coco please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks.

This is Creamsicle. Or should we say, Dreamsicle. She’s about 10 years-old and FeLV+. Creamsicle was brought into the Humboldt County Animal Shelter as a stray. She tested a faint positive for FeLV using a snap test. They tested Creamsicle again using a PCR test and she tested negative. But to be on the safe side, they reached out to us to place her in our FeLV+ Habitat…

And the rest is history.

Creamsicle will be arriving today at about 1 pm. You can watch her arrival on our FeLV+ Habitat we**am at https://www.youtube.com//streams..

Thanks to Humboldt County Animal Shelter for taking care of Creamsicle. And thank you, Bob, for transporting Creamsicle to SNAP Cats!

TWO FOR TUESDAY!

Isa and Sage are 3 years 6 months-old and sponsored by Stefanie Kraus. SNAP Cats rescued Isa and Sage from Fresno, CA. These siblings are very sweet, affectionate kitties. They love attention, and will follow you around meowing for pets and rubs. Their ataxia is mild+. Their back ends sway side-to-side a bit when they walk/run. But Isa and Sage don’t fall or need any kind of assistance to get where they’re going, including atop cat tress, shelves and counters. Isa and Sage will make a wonderful addition to anyone looking for extremely affectionate, loving kitties!

Although we’d love to see Isa and Sage adopted together, they’re not bonded. So they can be adopted separately. But please adopt them together!

If you’re interested in Isa and Sage please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks.

EXTRA EXTRA, READ ALL ABOUT HER!

This is Extra (you betcha!). She’s about 4-1/2 months-old and ataxic (she circles). Extra was rescued from the streets of San Jose where she was walking in circles trying to cross. She was thin with runny eyes and covered with fleas. Luckily for Extra, Carol rescued her and got her the medical treatment Extra needed to nurse her back to health.

Extra’s balance and coordination have continued to improve, and her challenges now seem relatively minor. She can easily walk, run, play, chase toys, and jump over low obstacles although she still loses her balance occasionally.

According to Carol, Extra’s personality is great – purring from the second day Carol had her even though she was born a feral. She loves to play with wand toys, wrestle with your hand, get pets and scritches, sleep on your lap, and watch TV. Extra’s a special little cat and would make someone a wonderful companion.

Extra will be arriving today at about 2:30 pm. You can watch her arrival on our Kitten Room YouTube We**am at https://www.youtube.com//streams.

Thank you, Carol, for saving Extra, taking great care of her, and getting her here to SNAP Cats!
