Hearts to the Sky for Our Beloved Pets Who Have Crossed the Rainbow Bridge 🌈🐾

Today is National Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day and we want to take a moment to honor all the incredible animals who have come into our lives and touched our hearts.

Whether with us their whole lives or just a brief period, animals have a way of leaving a lasting impression.

Dogs like Carlos, the sweet senior who we only knew for the final days of his life. This pug was pure love. He wanted nothing more than to snuggle close and make sure at least some part of him was touching you at all times.

By the time he came into our care, Carlos had already been struggling for quite some time. He was blind, deaf, missing an eye, and suffering from a severe lung condition that caused a constant cough. We were able to make him more comfortable with medications, and he went straight into a loving foster home with a member of our Medical Team.

He passed peacefully shortly after. We are deeply grateful that his final months were filled with tenderness, care, and love. We only wish it could have been longer.
We love you, Carlitos, you're with us eternally, as are all the other animals we've been blessed enough to meet.

Who are you honoring today? Show us a picture below. We will hold them in our hearts alongside you! 💛

When you’re this cute, melting hearts is just part of the job description. 👨‍🚒❤️

The incredible team at the City of Healdsburg Fire Department invited the dogs back for a visit at the fire station. Jazz was thrilled to learn all about fire safety from our local heroes.

We all agreed that Jazz knows a whole lot about fanning the flames of love. This cute, 1-year-old chug had everyone falling in love at first sight. From her playful zoomies to her sweet affection, Jazz knows how to spark joy in everyone around her.

Jazz is currently available for adoption and could use some help spreading the word like wildfire. Share this post and help us find Jazz the loving home she deserves! 🐾

SAFE! 🐾

Our incredible team just got this sweet poodle off the streets and into our care. 🐩 He was found in really crummy condition on the street during a huge heat wave.

Today, he is safe and just received a haircut to help keep him cool during the summer heat. He is receiving lots of love and care, but there is one thing he still needs. A name!

What should we call this handsome boy?

Pickleball for Pups!🏓🐾

On this we want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to Justin Lynch. Last weekend Justin hosted a Pickleball tournament as a fundraiser to support our rescue dogs. We are so grateful to Justin Lynch and the community for supporting our animals. It truly means the world to us.

Yesterday he made a visit to Muttopia and said hi to one of our favorite seniors, Chia!

Thank you, Justin! Compassion is the answer!

Help us love on these incredibly resilient dogs! ❤️🐾

Remember these sweet girls, Isabella, Violeta, and Camila? We rescued them from a heartbreaking hoarding and cruelty case earlier this month in Mexico.

The dogs were terrified and difficult to catch when our rescue team first arrived to provide crisis relief. But we never gave up hope. We brought these girls, along with seven others, back to our Home for Hope where we began providing much needed TLC.

It's only been a couple of weeks and already these girls are showing us how much love and resilience they embody. They greet us each day with tail wags and affection, no longer scared and untrusting. They are incredibly sweet and gentle.

Thank you to everyone who made this rescue possible. ❤️ Love saves lives!

What a difference a couple weeks makes! ❤️

When we first met Luchita she was covered in mange, starving, and emotionally shutdown. She was hiding under a car and wouldn't even eat the food we left for her. With patience and love, we were eventually able to gain her trust.

Today, the healing power of loves is obvious in Luchita. She is the most affectionate dog and wants to say hi to everyone she meets. She is as sweet as they come and her happy disposition is truly inspiring.

It is incredible to think that this broken girl who we first met hiding under a car has so quickly blossomed into a such a trusting and joyous dog. A little love and compassion goes a long way. This is exactly why we never give up hope! Love saves lives!

We love senior dogs! How about you? 🐾

It's National Dog Day! Today, we're celebrating two of our sweetest seniors, Romeo and Chia. ❤️

It can be especially hard for a senior dog to find themselves in a shelter. They may wait longer for a home, but they have just as much love to give and are every bit as deserving of a family of their own.

Some of the things we love most about senior dogs? They're mellow, they love a good nap, and they have all those goofy personalities and little quirks that make them completely one-of-a-kind.

What's your favorite thing about senior dogs? 🐶❤️

🎉 **We just spayed our 50,000th patient in Mexico!** 🎉

Help us celebrate this incredible milestone! We are so grateful to our dedicated team in Mexico and to everyone who makes this lifesaving work possible.

Reaching 50,000 spay/neuter patients is more than a number. It represents 50,000 animals who received essential care and thousands upon thousands of unwanted litters prevented.

Our team makes this work happen in so many ways. From keeping our doors open to pets in the community, to actively identifying animals who need to be sterilized and making sure they receive care, they work every day to make veterinary services accessible to the animals and families who need them most.

Spay/neuter saves lives! By making this essential service accessible, we can prevent unwanted litters, reduce animal suffering, and help break the cycle of homelessness before it begins.

Here’s to 50,000 and to the many more lives we’ll help together. ❤️🐾

This is what it's all about! ❤️🐾

We rescued Sugar off the streets after witnesses saw her being badly mistreated. 💔Not even a year old and already she had known suffering. But we knew she was destined to experience love, compassion, and beauty.

❤️ Today, Sugar is living with an incredible family who shows her love and happiness every day. Thank you for choosing adoption! Love saves lives!

"We are having so much fun getting to know Sugar! She loves playing in the backyard with my son, Henry. With this heat, she has been cooling off after evening walks/jogs with some pool time and a Pupsicle! (Henry loves to say “Pupsicles; 20 minutes of dog distraction!”)

She is such a great addition and fits right in over here. We are so thankful to everyone who supported her on her journey."

❤ Access to care saves lives! ❤

Nearly one hundred animals received vital veterinary care at our August community clinic, helping local families ensure their pets received the medical attention they deserve.

Access to veterinary care is critically important for the health and well-being of pets in underserved communities and for the people who love them.

Thank you to everyone who made this day possible! A huge thank you to the Humane Society of Sonoma County for always being there with food and supplies, and to Petco Love for providing life-saving vaccines. We couldn’t do it without you. 🐾
