Compassion Without Borders was founded in 2001 by Christi and Moncho Camblor . The focus of our organization is to alleviate the suffering of unwanted companion animals in Mexico and other low resource regions in the US through a multifaceted approach which includes international rescue efforts, extensive spay/neuter campaigns, humane euthanasia and humane education. Our board is made up of veteri

narians and professional animal advocates with decades of experience from around the country. We are staffed by nearly 100% volunteer labor – which means 100% of all donations can go directly toward our work!

Josie Needs Your help!

Josie, a beloved Cattle Dog rescued from Mexico by Compassion Without Borders, went missing on Dec 6 at the Parade of Lights in downtown Guerneville.

Last seen near Westamerica Bank next to Lark’s Drugs. We are working with the Sheriff and local partners to bring her home safely.

Meet Kira, a 2-year-old terrier mix with a fearless heart ❤️. We found her on the streets--injured, scared, with a missing rear foot, and unable to walk. We brought her to our clinic, gave her shelter, supported her with physical therapy, and surrounded her with love.

Today, Kira is brave, trusting, active, and full of love. She is proof that healing is possible, even from awful circumstances. You have the power to help animals heal.

This holiday season, we are asking you to believe in your power to help communities in need. Part of the CWOB mission is to provide access to care where it is needed most. This year, we brought services directly to where they were most needed and provided essential veterinary care and spay/neuter services to combat the root causes of animal homelessness and suffering. In 2026 we want to help even more animals receive access to care so that every animal in our communities are safe, healthy, and treated with love and dignity. 🐾

SAFE 🐾💛
This beautiful, darling girl was just taken into our rescue in Mexico after surviving an incredibly hard time on the streets. Thanks to a compassionate Good Samaritan who stepped in after seeing her being actively harmed by two individuals, she’s now safe. Tonight she’s resting comfortably, getting the medical care she needs, and will never have to face that kind of mistreatment again.
We’re so grateful we get to be part of her new beginning—and to promise her this: her suffering is over. ✨

This darling girl was found blind on the streets of Mexico. Today, she’s living her best life in Sonoma County with her adoring dad—safe, cherished, and full of joy. 🏡✨

Adoption Update: Lizzie (formerly Pumpkin) ☀️

This darling Siberian husky mix is living her best life. Her adopters drove all the way up from Los Angeles to bring her to her new home.

🗨️"She loves playing and going on hikes and is doing really well on her recall and sit and wait. She really loves her food. She also has gotten potty training down as well as learning how to use the doggy door after one time of showing her. She is very bright. Here are some pictures of her and her best friend. Cedar Mesa, who is our rescued 3-year-old female dobi."
