Compassion Without Borders was founded in 2001 by Christi and Moncho Camblor . The focus of our organization is to alleviate the suffering of unwanted companion animals in Mexico and other low resource regions in the US through a multifaceted approach which includes international rescue efforts, extensive spay/neuter campaigns, humane euthanasia and humane education. Our board is made up of veterinarians and professional animal advocates with decades of experience from around the country. We are staffed by nearly 100% volunteer labor – which means 100% of all donations can go directly toward our work!

Final steps toward their new beginnings! 🐾🧡

Take a look at some photos of our new Meximutts during this week's intake process! These amazing dogs received their final round of veterinary care and medical exams, bringing them one step closer to adoption.

Each one is an incredible survivor, and we're so grateful to see them reach this point in their journey. Their new beginnings are just around the corner!

It’s National Cat Day! 🐱

Today we're celebrating our resident rescue cat, Amarillo. He may be the only adoptable cat we have on site, but he sure is a special boy. He's officially taken over our medical office as his home (sorry, dogs) and he thinks he's part of the team. We don't have the heart to tell him that cats can't go to vet school, but he seems more than happy just managing the vet techs.

Happy National Cat Day, Amarillo. We love you and we know your future family is out there. 🐾

New couple alert! 💘🐾

We heard love is in the air here at Muttopia. DJ and Pebbles recently went on a little date together and the word is they hit it off. This sweet pair enjoyed a day out walking side by side in nature and sharing homemade dog treats in the park.

Some beautiful moments from yesterday’s van arrival! The pups were welcomed with open arms, big smiles, and so much love from our dedicated staff and volunteers.

We're taking a little break along the road and want to introduce you to some of our absolutely fabulous, mutt-a-licious mixed breeds.

Ever met a Shar-Pug? How about a dwarf Mexican Wolfhound? Or a blue-nosed Mini Basset-Chi? Well, here's your chance!

What breed mixes do YOU spy? Mutt is truly our favorite breed, and these Heinz 57s are so dang cute, it is downright hard to handle.
