Barbecue season is here — and that means temptation is everywhere for your pet.
While grilled chicken or veggies might be okay, things like onions, chocolate, and bones are dangerous.

Keep your pet away from the food table and stick to pet-safe treats only.
And remind guests not to sneak them snacks — no matter how cute the begging face is!

What’s your go-to safe BBQ treat for your furry friend?

Ear infections can be painful — and they’re surprisingly common during warmer months.
Moisture, dirt, and bacteria love to hide in warm ears, especially in floppy-eared pets.

Gently clean ears with vet-approved products and check weekly for odor, redness, or discharge.
If you notice any signs of discomfort, contact your vet early for treatment.

Happy ears = happy pets.

Warm sidewalks, rough terrain, and sharp objects can all take a toll on your pet’s paws.
If you wouldn’t walk barefoot on it — neither should they.

Choose shady paths or walk during cooler parts of the day.
Consider dog boots for protection and always check paws for cuts, burns, or stuck debris after walks.

Your pet’s paws work hard — give them the care they deserve!

Heatstroke is a life-threatening emergency that can happen in minutes.
Panting, drooling, vomiting, and lethargy are all red flags that your pet may be overheating.

Move them to a cooler spot immediately and offer small sips of water.
Gently apply cool (not cold) water to help lower their temperature — and call your vet ASAP.

Know the signs and be ready to act — your pet’s life could depend on it.

There’s nothing better than hitting the trail with your four-legged sidekick.
Hiking, camping, and exploring are great ways to bond and stay active — just don’t forget to prep!

Keep your pet leashed, pack extra water, and take shade breaks often.
Bring a pet first aid kit, check their ID tags, and always watch for signs of overheating.

The summer heat can sneak up on our pets fast — making hydration more important than ever.
Dehydration can lead to low energy, dry gums, and even serious health issues if left unchecked.

Make sure your pet has fresh water available at all times, especially after playtime or walks.
For picky drinkers, add a splash of low-sodium broth or toss in ice cubes to make it more fun.

Help your pet stay cool and hydrated all summer long!

Grooming is about more than just looking cute — it’s vital to your pet’s health.
Regular brushing reduces mats, helps manage shedding, and gives you a chance to check for fleas or skin issues.

Bonus: it’s a great bonding activity your pet will come to love.
Whether it’s brushing, bathing, or nail trims, a little routine goes a long way.

Some pets just have endless zoomies!
High-energy pets need more than just a quick walk — they thrive on engaging play and variety.

Fetch, agility, long hikes, or scent games can help burn off energy and keep their brains busy too.
A tired pet is a happy (and well-behaved) pet.

What’s your go-to energy buster? Let us know in the comments!

Bringing home a new pet?
Smooth introductions can make a big difference for long-term harmony.

Start with neutral territory, go slow, and give everyone their own space.
Separate food bowls, toys, and beds can reduce territorial behavior as they adjust.

Tell us how you introduced your pets — we’d love to hear your success story!

Pets get anxious too — and they show it in different ways.
Barking, pacing, hiding, or even changes in appetite can all be signs your pet is feeling stressed.

Creating a safe, quiet space and using calming aids can help.
For persistent anxiety, chat with your vet about options to support your pet emotionally.

Fleas, ticks, and heartworms don’t take time off.
That’s why parasite prevention should be part of your pet’s regular routine — all year long.

Check with your vet about monthly treatments or combos that protect against multiple parasites.
The goal: healthy, happy, itch-free pets!

Does your dog love to swim?
Swimming is a fun way to beat the heat, but not every pup is a natural swimmer.

Always supervise, especially around pools or lakes.
Use a life jacket for dogs who are new to the water or swimming in deep areas, and rinse them off after to remove chlorine or salt.

Tell us: is your pet a swimmer or a sunbather? 🌊
