Wishing everyone a fun, safe, and memorable Independence Day with family and friends!

As you celebrate, please remember a few important things:

🐾 Keep your pets safe. Fireworks can be terrifying for dogs and cats. Keep them indoors in a secure, quiet room, make sure they have updated ID tags or a microchip, and avoid bringing them to fireworks displays. Sadly, the days surrounding the Fourth of July are among the busiest of the year for animal shelters and rescues due to the number of frightened pets that run away.

🎆 Celebrate responsibly. Follow local fireworks laws, keep a safe distance, and never leave fireworks unattended.

🇺🇸 Remember our veterans and neighbors. While fireworks are a tradition for many, they can be incredibly difficult for those living with PTSD. If possible, be mindful of the time, location, and duration of fireworks, and show a little extra kindness and consideration to those who may experience this holiday differently.
