Jameson, one of our hospital kitties, demonstrating both how much he loves Rae and his genetically crossed eyes. Do you know seal point, flame point, and Siamese cats have a genetic trait that causes them to have a tendency toward crossed eyes? We think it's an endearing feature and we love it on all of them. Dr. Byrd has, what we refer to as, a Siamese problem. She must kiss every one of them on the lips so they know she adores them!

This is Grade 4 dental disease. The first photo shows the teeth prior to cleaning. The second photo shows what was found under the buildup of plaque, hair and pus. The arrows indicate visible furcations between the roots of the teeth, meaning there has been tremendous bone loss and damage to the oral structure. These teeth require extractions to relieve both pain and infection and return this sweet dog to full oral health. This is the reason anesthetized dental cleanings are essential and so-called "non-sedated dental procedures" are just aesthetic, rather than truly disease eliminating.
