Can you help us help Sheba? 🫶 This six-year-old Shepard mix was having some unusual feminine problems and her person, Athena, was concerned. However, she was struggling financially and could only afford $100 towards veterinary care. When Athena reached out for help, we discussed financial aid and fundraising, but we didn't want ot hold up care for Sheba. Dr.. Brad diagnosed her with Pyometra, a serious and potentially life-threatening infection of the uterus. He was able to provide surgery the same day of her appointment, and saved her life. Sheba is now recovering at home! Athena contributed what she could, but the balance on her invoice is $596.87. Will you help us cover that cost with a donation to Options nonprofit clinic? Every dollar counts. ➡️ Donate online at the link below, or mail a check to Options Veterinary Care, 4690 Longley Lane, Suite 1, Reno, NV 89502. Sheba, her family, and our team thank you in advance!

Daisy was recently spayed, but Bonnie, her person, was concerned that she was in pain and not recovering as anticipated. Dr. Meg examined Daisy, and while the incision looked good, she mentioned that her longer recovery may be due to her size - sweet Daisy is a bit round in the middle and that had made it more challenging to remove the uterus, hence making the surgery a bit more extensive than most. She provided Daisy with pain medication and told Bonnie to return to the clinic if she didn't improve. Thankfully, Daisy is now on the mend!

Nala's life has been saved. ❤

Israelio panicked upon finding 4-year-old Nala had a major injury in her abdomen from running around the yard. He rushed her to the emergency hospital to get her looked at but the recommended procedure was out of their reach financially. Thankfully, they were referred to Options nonprofit clinic and we were able to accommodate her in a timely manner. We also offered Israelio resources for financial aid. He secured funding and utilized a payment plan to cover the costs of her emergency surgery.

Nala's surgery with Dr. Brad was successful, and while we won't share the photos of her graphic injury, you can see how large it was with the stitching. This sweet girl has made an incredible comeback, and we are so grateful that we could help! P.S. When you donate to Options, these are the lives you are impacting. Your donations allow us to offer affordable services. Thank you! And if you haven't donated, we ask that you do! Every dollar counts. 🫶 ➡️ Donate online at the link below, or mail a check to Options Veterinary Care, 4690 Longley Lane, Suite 1, Reno, NV 89502.

The gorgeous Mia is available for adoption! ❤

Mia is one, and she was part of a TNR (trap-Neuter-Return) project with Washoe County Regional Animal Services. Tracy with Community Cats recognized she was too friendly to be returned to her outdoor home, and wanted to give her a chance. She contacted us for help, and we placed Mia in a foster home. She is a very sweet gal, and earning the trust of her temporary human family. She enjoys the company of other cats, is playful, and curious. Her ideal home? One who will be patient and help her flourish, who preferably had another young, friendly cat she can spend time with. Mia deserves this, and we're going to help her get it! If you think YOU could be her person, email [email protected] to set up a time to meet her! ❤❤

Lola needed the help of Options Veterinary Care quickly. She had an umbilical hernia! Dr. Meg repaired the hernia, and spayed her at the same time. Mike, Lola's person, applied for the SPCA of Northern Nevada Voucher program and was approved, which meant that he could then cover her cost of care for the hernia surgery directly. Lola, who is only two, did great and recovered well!

Happy Tail! We recently featured William for adoption, and here are some adorable photos of him happily settling into his new home!

William was adopted from The Radical Cat, a partner of ours who has a very cool place for available kitties to reside at their midtown bookstore. He was adopted by Donna and Sandra and we are LOVING these photos!

Working together like this makes a big difference in helping our cats find homes in a timely manner. Big thanks to Rosie at The Radical Cat, as well as William's new family! ❤

Help us give a big thanks to Kate and Casey from Reno-Tahoe International Airport! They came by to present us with an $842 check and some cute gift bags from an Easter fundraising event! Their employees purchased the gift bags to give to a fellow employee. They made over 500 of them! Isn't this a cool idea? They not only showed support for each other among their team, but it benefited our team as well. That's some spirited community collaboration!
