The spotlight this month is from our hospital manager, Kasie!
This is Chichi, she came to us when she was 8 weeks old as an early Christmas present around Thanksgiving time. She has two human sisters that love her to death. She loves to play fetch and get belly rubs. She is now ten years old and runs the house in her old age.

Last week, we said goodbye to our amazing Technician Supervisor, Azelia. We are sad to see her leave, but ecstatic for her next adventure in a new state. She has improved the lives of so many patients, and she has made our hospital a better place for all of our clients and their fur babies. We wish her all the success and happiness that she deserves, and we will miss her more than words can express. 💖💖

Employee Pet Spotlight ✨

Meet Mimosa, a spicy but sweet Tortie Queen 👑 that belongs to our veterinary technician, Keila. This is what Keila has to say about her.

She is 11 years old. I adopted her from the humane society almost 4 years ago. She was actually one of the intakes that I ended up rescuing while I was in the TMCC Vet Tech program and helping with intakes at the shelter. She was a stray found on the street but was the sweetest little lady. She completely won my heart over, and she quickly became the best gift I took home from my vet tech school days. She’s very loving and cuddly, but this girl definitely lives up to her Tortitude as well. She has a sassy and opinionated side, and knows exactly what she wants. She will not hesitate at all in putting her kitty brothers in place!

One of the funniest things about Mimosa is her dedication to mealtime. Snooze buttons do not exist to her. If I’m even a minute late with her food, she’ll repeatedly bop me on the head with her paw until I get up and prepare her food. She’s definitely a demanding Queen & her dedication to keeping meal time at the house in check is very appreciated 😁

Here at VCA A Plus Animal Hospital, we are very excited to be able to offer the best veterinary services to Reno, Sparks, and Carson City, Nevada, as well as Chico and Susanville, California. We offer a variety of services, including wellness exams, vaccines, radiography, laboratory testing, dental care, spays/neuters, mass removals, boarding, and much more! It is our goal here at VCA A Plus Animal Hospital to offer the highest quality veterinary care. Our patients and their owners deserve it. To accomplish this, we strive to continue learning so we can offer our patients the very best and most up-to-date veterinary care. Not only our veterinarians but also our entire staff learns constantly so we can be the strongest hospital that we can be. We also strive to make sure that both pets and their owners are comfortable in our office. There is nothing worse than animals that are scared to go to the veterinarian, except for owners who feel like they are unable to discuss things with the veterinarian.
