"Phoebe" has been wanting to explore a lot more these days! Nice change of pace,as she sometimes goes a month+ with no desire to come out. I do choice based handling,to have a better relationship with my snakes. And besides,if she doesn't wanna come out it's not gonna happen🀣. Boas are very strong, and like to wrap and anchor themselves.

My Grammostola pulchripes! 😁 What a chill girl! I absolutely cannot do this with some of my tarantulas 🀣

It's shaping up to be a fantastic month for tarantulas πŸ˜€. I've just adopted two more females, along with the red knee, and I'm thrilled to provide them with a loving home. The previous owner and I can rest assured that these amazing creatures will receive the care they deserve. With proper care, these females can live up to 20 years, a true testament to their remarkable resilience. It's fascinating to note that males, on the other hand, have a shorter lifespan, typically living for around 5 years after fulfilling their mating role, sometimes meeting their end at the hands of the female.

New addition to the family! I adopted her this afternoon. "Rose" Mexican red knee (Brachypelma hamorii). My other 2 aren't very docile,so this will be a nice change of paceπŸ˜€.

Just over 7ft, and a little over 2 with me. She's going to be quite large, I believe!. The last picture is from when she arrived at the pet shop 2 years ago. I was planning on getting a Burmese at the time. However, after caring for her for a while, I changed my mind! She has an excellent temperament, is a great feeder, and who doesn't love the boa mustache 😁.
