As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we provide food, shelter, and medical care, while fundraising to support our life-saving goals. Miss Kitty's Cat House is a small non-profit, no-kill cat rescue and adoption facility, solely operated by volunteers and donations. We have been granted 501(c)(3) status by the I.R.S. Miss Kitty's is located in a small house at 302 N Alarcon Street in Prescott, Arizona, where

approximately 20 adult cats live and play until they are adopted, with a waiting list for cats to come in when there are vacancies. The cats roam free in the house and are cared for by a variety of dedicated volunteers. The house is at the NW intersection of Sheldon and Alarcon in Prescott. When you visit Miss Kitty's you will meet all of our cats on neutral ground. We shelter cats of all ages and backgrounds. We have cats whose humans have either passed away or are otherwise unable to care for them, rescued cats who were born feral and who have been socialized, or formerly abandoned or abused pets. We also have other adult cats and kittens in foster homes in the Prescott area. The number varies from 50 to 75, depending upon how many fosters are available.

Miss Kitty's Cat House - Pet of the Week - FESTUS

Festus is a tall, lanky, 4-year-old dilute tabby with a tender heart, looking for a calm, loving home where he can finally feel safe. In his previous home, he was often picked on, so he thrives in a peaceful environment without loud noises or commotion.

He enjoys exploring, watching the world from a window, and curling up in the smallest, most unexpected places for a cozy nap. Festus also loves interactive play—wand toys, chasing lasers, a sprinkle of catnip, and stretching on a tall scratching post are some of his favorite things.
Once he feels secure, Festus will greet you when he hears your voice, lean in for gentle pets, and may even curl up in your lap to soak up affection. With patience and kindness, he’ll reward you with quiet companionship and heartfelt trust.

Festus is neutered, current on vaccinations, and tested negative for FeLV/FIV. He’s ready to find the peaceful forever home he deserves.

Demi is a 7.5-year-old long-haired black beauty with bright yellow eyes that shine like golden beacons. When curled up, she resembles a plush velvet cushion—elegant, calm, and quietly inviting. Though she takes her time warming up, Demi is well worth the wait. Once she knows you’re genuinely interested, she’ll descend from her cat tree to enjoy gentle head and chin rubs, soothing massages, and her favorite—brushing sessions.

Like most nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations, we rely on fundraisers, donations, and community support to continue rescuing cats and kittens and helping them find loving forever homes.

Dine at Texas Roadhouse in Prescott on September 9th from 4 PM till 8 PM.

Bring the attached flyer with you. When you present it, 10% of your total bill will be donated directly to Miss Kitty's Cat House.
