Welcome to the family Gunther!

Gunther is a 2 year old GSD that has been struggling with some reactivity out in public. His owners have some experience with the breed so they’ve done very well with some of his foundational obedience. Unfortunately obedience and behavior modification are not one in the same.

We will be spending a few weeks together helping him build the confidence he needs to walk through life without stressing about his environment.

📢 AUGUST 2025 LEPTOSPIROSIS ALERT | PRESCOTT & VERDE VALLEY DOG OWNERS 🐾

Yavapai County has confirmed two recent cases of leptospirosis in dogs who swam in the outdoor waters of the Verde River and nearby irrigation ditches. This is why we strongly recommend the leptospirosis vaccine for all dogs who enjoy swimming, hiking, or playing in natural water sources.

💉 Why vaccinate?
• Leptospirosis spreads through contaminated outdoor water where infected wildlife or livestock have urinated.
• Dogs can get infected by swimming, drinking, or even walking through these waters.
• It’s zoonotic—meaning it can spread to humans, too.
• Untreated, it can cause kidney, liver, or lung damage.

✅ Vaccine facts:
• Recommended by AAHA and ACVIM as a core vaccine for all dogs.
• Requires an initial two-dose series (3–4 weeks apart) and annual boosters.
• Safe and effective, especially for adventurous dogs exposed to natural water.

Meet Ivy! 🐾💛
She just joined us yesterday, so we’re spending some time getting to know her and learning her love language. This morning’s discovery? 🎾 Ball time is her jam, and she LOVES splashing around in the big water drinker! 🌊 We’re thinking the pool might be next on her adventure list today… stay tuned! 🐕💦

If you or someone you know has been dreaming of a new hiking buddy, Ivy will be ready to find her forever home in just a couple of weeks! 🏔️❤️

📍 From our friends at Believe in Karma, Northern Arizona Malinois rehab:
“Rescue never ends—there’s no time to rest. Tomorrow, we’re pulling Ivy from Yavapai Humane Society. She’s a sweet, medium-sized girl (about 55 lbs) with low-to-medium drive. Our friend Chris will be working with her over the next few weeks to help her shine!”

📸 We’ll be sharing more photos soon, but for now… just know Ivy is as wonderful as she sounds!

Rescue never ends, you don’t have time to rest and heal. Tomorrow we are pulling Ivy from Yavapai humane society. She is a medium size female with low / medium drive . Will be looking for a forever home . Our Friend Chris will be taking her and working with her over the next few weeks.. I will get some photos of of her in the next week. She is 55 lbs.

🐾 Doberman Delight & Training Highlights! 🐾

Last week we had the absolute pleasure of spending time with Rusty & Ruby, two of the most stunning Dobermans we’ve ever seen 😍 The photos just don’t do them justice — they’re not only beautiful, but total sweethearts too! 🖤🐶

Willow has been shining bright in her training ✨ showing off her “place” command like a champ — even on the kids’ trampoline with Jane cheering her on! 🎉💪🐾

And Miss Bella joined us on the deck for some swimming 💦during a day train while working on some reactivity to help integrate some new dogs into her family dynamic. 🐕❤️

We love seeing each pup grow in confidence, skills, and joy!

☕️ We woke up this morning and realized… we were OUT OF COFFEE PODS 😱 So Willow and Copenhagen graciously accompanied us on a morning walk to Grandma’s house to borrow some 😂🐾

Willow is about halfway through her board & train program and she’s thriving! From exploring the ranch to joining us on outings, she’s soaking it all up 🐶💛 She’s already practiced:

✨ On- and off-leash walking
✨ Downtown adventures
✨ Dining out
✨ Confidence building in new environments

She’s such a sweet girl and continues to impress us every day!

🌅 Evening strolls just hit different with these two little explorers! 🐾 Our 12-week-old kittens joined us for the most beautiful sunset walk last night, and their curiosity made it even more magical 🌄🐱✨ Grateful for peaceful moments, orange skies, and tiny paws by our side. Hope your day was just as purr-fect 💛

Willow just started her training program and will be doing some on/of leash work while building those manners for a summer of fun with her family! ☀️

She tried out the pool today and was only willing to get her toes wet. That being said she’s got discount code to try and keep the pool busy! If your swimming it means she’s not! 😂

We just upgraded the pump and filter system to be proactive about the water cleanliness and will keep these codes active till the 4th of July!

Sweet Nala,

Im not always great about photos and social media. Things get busy and I get in my groove and just forget to do posts.

This sweet girl is doing stellar halfway through her 2 week board and train. While her parents are on vacation she is here working on sharpening up her obedience and getting the hang of leash skills. It’s no secret that big body has some strength to her and has been dragging mom and dad around.

We spent most of our shopping with her leash clipped to me an tucked in my pocket. Makes a huge difference being able to shop hands free!
