We’re all so brokenhearted that we lost little Rose Miracle today. Thank you to Dr. Tammy, Dr. Emily and Misty for being here on your day off to say goodbye and see her off, complete with hamburgers, french fries, Frosty’s and donuts with bacon. She was definitely a favorite and made an impact in the short time she was with us. She was a little fighter, but her body finally gave out and had enough fly free sweet Rose Miracle...we love you!!!

COURTESY POST!!! This dog is not at Dogtree Pines, nor have we met or evaluated him.

Urgent: Rescue Needed for Bruno ❤️

Meet Bruno, an 8-year-old neutered male Lab mix who’s as sweet and easygoing as they come.

Bruno is house-trained, crate-trained, and gets along well with other dogs. He’s a true couch potato who would much rather relax by your side than cause any trouble. His gentle, mellow personality makes him an ideal companion for someone looking for a calm, loving best friend.

Unfortunately, my four resident dogs have not accepted him, and despite every effort, it’s not a safe long-term situation. Because of this, I’m urgently trying to find a reputable rescue that can take Bruno before he ends up at the shelter.

Bruno deserves a second chance with a family who will appreciate what a wonderful dog he is. If your rescue has room or knows of one that may be able to help, please reach out.

Please share to help Bruno find the safe, loving home he deserves.

UPDATE:

Well, it appears as though our little girl has a rare heart condition called Patent ductus arteriosus (PDA). She basically has a hole in her heart. Based on x-rays and her growth plates, she appears to be right around two years old. Life expectancy for a dog with this condition is 2 to 3 years. We have a consultation with a cardiologist this Friday to get more information. There is a surgery for this condition and they do it through a catheter without having to actually open up her chest. They basically just seal the hole closed and Walla she’s a new dog. I’ve researched and they say the average surgery is about $5000-$6000. We’re going to go talk to them and explore this option and will let you know what we decide.
——————-
We rescued this pretty little girl just a couple of days ago in the Bakersfield area. She was one of the thousands of dogs dumped in the area and was suffering from a fractured leg.
It took a little more networking than normal, but we finally got her moved over here and to the vet today. Thank you to Eddie Revilla for helping this girl.
We assumed the fracture was going to be her major problem since she appeared to be on the younger side. Unbeknownst to us, her heart is bad. She has a Grade 5 out of 6 heart and you can see and feel it by just touching the side of her body. Patty, our Vet Tech that has been a CVT for over 40 years said it was the biggest heart she had ever seen on x-ray.
We did an echo and an EKG to better determine what meds she needs to be on to provide the longest and best life.
She is an absolute doll and Misty has already adopted her as one of her own. You see, Misty has an entire second dog family here at Dog tree Pines.
We’re going to give her a couple of days to unwind and then give her a nice bath and brushing. She’s really a beautiful girl.
Tomorrow we should have some more information on her heart, but there’s definitely a reason that she stood out to us and ended up here at Dogtree Pines. She’s not a senior and sometimes we don’t know until they get here, but she clearly has a heart that needs our attention.
Welcome to Sweet Stella. She will be loved as long as she is here on earth.

OK, lab people. I know you are out there now. Please check out Tony. He is currently at Pinal County animal control in Casa grande but we can get him up here to Prescott or wherever you may be. Pinal animal control has a lot of very dedicated people, but they are very very full and over capacity right now and Tony needs to get out sooner rather than later.

We are busting at the seams, but must continue helping those that have not been rescued. Please consider adopting Tony.

……..

Tony was brought to us as a stray and was never claimed by his owner. He is extremely sweet with people and other dogs. The kennel is no where for a senior dog to spend their final years. Tony has some obvious stiffness in his joints and is underweight.

Tony A292160 - 12+ year old's (minimum) - 60lbs - male
