This is the reality of what’s happening right now. They’re dumping puppies, they’re dumping elderly dogs. We have taken many from this exact situation. The shelters are full and cannot intake any more dogs so people are just driving out and leaving them. We have to be better as a society

Good morning for Betty White. She has had a life threatening outbreak of chronic Sharpei fever syndrome. We had to pull out all stops, but she finally started to improve yesterday and she is even better today. Thank God our sweet Betty is all right. ❤️

Photo dump. Friday comes late this week. It’s been a busy week with a lot of medical.
Moose had an exploratory surgery to find out why he’s losing substantial weight. No answers yet
Betty White has an injured front wrist and is having a horrible bout of Sharpei fever. She was hospitalized three days this week. We have the Sharpei fever under control, but the wrist is still painful and she is not walking on it.
Other than a serious streak of diarrhea, no pun intended, Ernie is doing great!!! he has a new love in his life and it is Finn. I catch them rolling around on the front porch together often when Ernie is healthy enough, he still needs to be neutered.
We had a stock tank donated to us from a wonderful supporter, a couple of weeks ago and it’s now up and running has a beautiful ramp, pump and it’s time to get our butts out there and get wet.
I think that’s about it right now. Thank you to everyone that helps us. We need a lot of help and could not do it without each and every one of you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Happy Friday from healer Holly! ❤️

‼️COURTESY POST!‼️

Owner passed away!

“Hi Bree --
I own 2 male German Shepherds, Rex and Thor. They are 5 years old, litter mates. Their energy is average/high. They are very affectionate, intelligent, curious and protective of me and the house. They are good with adults and children, and especially Rex likes to play. Their vaccinations are current, but they are not neutered (Hope of Deliverance is neutering next week). They need a yard where they can move around. I would like to rehome them, ideally together.“

This dog is trapped behind that brand new chain link fence.
The guy at the mariscos stand have been feeding him since he literally ended up on the wrong side of the fence (about a month and a half).
There is not a tree or plywood or tarp to protect him from these past months rain or now from the searing sun.
These guys say some time ago the dog was hit by a car, he dragged himself to the median, and that's where he lived for the longest time.
He'd get to the sidewalk to forage for food and water, then returned to the median. That was his home.
They say the dog rolls his hip at walking, is deteriorating and is incredibly sad and lonely.
The marisco guys dug a hole under the brand new fencing so he could get out, but just like Red in the Shawshank, he's been institutionalized and can't do it on his own.
The hole under the fence can easily fit a smaller person with a leash (like me) but what would be the point in dragging him out, and setting him loose to get hit by another car.
There's also the less romantic option to call the number on the sign at the lot so owner or realtor can unlock the padlock, but again, not without a Rescue in place.
It you are that Rescue, please send me a message and we'll get this in motion.
I will get him to the vet of your choice and then to any place within San Diego County.
Anyone?

Well, long story short Pepe is now a resident at Dogtree Pines. Dr. Tammy confirmed that he does have a fractured pelvis and a hip joint completely out of place in addition to a large mass on his spleen. We don’t know if Pepe has a lot of time but we’re gonna make it count.
So far, he has been resting in peace in the garage and will be introduced to the pack tomorrow. He is just sweet as can be and boy oh boy what he’s been through.
Thank you for his angels for helping him out and for my new friend Elena for driving a full day to transport Pepe to us. ❤️
