We are a 501c(3) foster-based bully breed rescue. Our mission is to rescue the most at-risk pitbull type dogs in Philadelphia, as well as southern, shelters.

We typically take on severe medical/neglect cases. We rehabilitate and then find forever homes!

Taz was surrender to ACCT Philly when his owner no longer had time to take care of him.

Unfortunately, Taz was surrendered with significant health issues. Taz is unable to run and play like a normal dog without struggling to breathe.

He needs airway surgery and he needs it NOW so he can live a safer, happier and more comfortable life.

We need to raise $2,000 to get this surgery done by Tuesday. Please consider even a small donation.

We welcomed these two cuties from one of our Rescue partners in South Carolina. Both girls are extremely sweet and dog friendly and we can't wait to get to know them better!

Gritty is a 6 month old, super sweet boy. He is 19lbs. He has done very well with other dogs-loves to play.
He is very tolerant of children of all ages. He is very comfortable being around kids and handles their affection, attention, and physical interaction with ease. He is super affectionate and loves to be held like a baby. When his foster mom is working on her computer, he will put his paws up on her, she lifts him up and he lays down and melts into her lap. He loves walks, and does well on the leash. He is very food motivated and will do almost anything for a treat!

Say hello to Cobra! This handsome man is around 5 years! He would love to be your only pet, or could live with another laid back/chill other dog. He tends to like cats and small critters like bunnies and hamsters a little too much to live with them.

Cobra is a reactive dog, meaning he tends to bark and jump at strangers who invade his space. Once he gets to know you, however, he is the sweetest & snuggliest man who loves his people and enjoys playing and engaging with them! When it comes to women, Cobra goes from stranger to friend quickly, but with men it could take a while for him to really get comfy! For this reason, we would love to see Cobra go to a a) home with all women, b) a woman with a male partner who hasn’t moved in yet, or c) a woman & man who are super patient and willing to take their time getting to know him! Because of his stranger danger, Cobra isn’t a good fit for a home with kids! Cobra has been fostered in the city for over 2 years and is very used to passing humans of all genders and ages on walks, he generally only reacts when they get in his space, as long as he has room he hardly ever has reactions.

Cobra was diagnosed with hip dysplasia on both sides. Because of this, he requires daily joint supplements and he does daily Physical Therapy. His PT is super easy to incorporate into your daily life. He should move for about an hour a day, he is already used to going on an hour long walk in the mornings so this one is easy. He should do strengthening work for about 5-10 minutes twice a day. His PT exercises can be done with supplies you already have at home, such as steps, yoga mats, etc. Cobra is SUPER food motivated. He loves to work & as he gains confidence in his PT he might also enjoy some agility work or other fun training exercises to engage with his owner.

Cobra is an amazing dog who is just waiting for the right person to take a chance on him. His foster mom says he is one of the easiest dogs she’s had. He is incredibly loving, loyal, and sweet, and deserves an amazing home. Consider applying for Cobra today!

YEEHAW FRIENDS!!

Canyon is looking for a home if his own!

Hi! My name is Canyon. I am a 1 year old mix breed pup. What are the breeds that make me me? No one really knows. So far, my foster family has introduced me to the rules of living in a house. I have done wonderfully, if I can say so myself. I love toys, other dogs, and people of all sizes. I met some kids this weekend and I loved how sweet they were to me. I’m still unsure of the cats in my foster home. I’m fine when they stay still but want to give chase if they run.

I love walks and sniffing everything along the way. I went on my first hike and it was fun! I also enjoy playing in the yard. Fetch is my favorite game so far. I’m a leaner and love getting pets. I’m medium energy so I’m up to play but can also settle down. I’m still nervous about getting into the car but I am good once I’m in. If I sound like a good fit, please apply to meet me!

Nora is capable of having doggy friends out in the wild, but she really would be happiest as your only dog. She previously lived on a farm, so a home with a yard, or at least outside of the city would make her happy. We think Nora would do well with kids too.

Baloo is a bear-y good boy looking for a forever home.

He's about 8 years old. Lower energy and house/crate trained. Baloo IS dog friendly, but he can guard his food from other dogs (not people) so he would need a family that's comfortable managing that.

We have an opportunity to take a plea deal, which includes time served, but in exchange we have to find Blu a home now!
