Our Story
Street Tails Animal Rescue (STAR) began in 2001 as a humble one-woman effort led by Lindsay Condefer. From her pet store, The Chic Petique, Lindsay poured her heart and soul into rescuing dogs and finding them loving homes. In 2010, with the steadfast support of friends, supporters, and a dedicated board of directors, Lindsay's vision expanded. Street Tails Animal Rescue transitioned to its own dedicated location, a testament to its commitment to making a difference in the lives of homeless and abandoned dogs in the Philadelphia area.
