New pdfa training classes at dog and me training center
7915 Mobile Highway
Start week of June 8, 2026.

Choose one option:
Only one class will be offered initially.
Wed afternoon at 3 pm or
Monday at 5:30

Class will be a 6 week session.

Choose one:

Beginner basics
Intro to rally signs
CGC

Proof of Vaccinations for rabies and bordetella must be provided.

Initially class will be open to PDFA members only. If class does not fill we can open it to the public.

Please be prepared to crate your dog while other dogs take the opportunity to learn by performing.

Cost will be $90 per student

Min class size 3 people
Max class size 6 people

The American Kennel Club Announces Court Dismissal Of PETA Petition

The American Kennel Club (AKC®), a not-for-profit organization that is the world’s largest registry of pedigree purebred dogs, and a leading voice for canine welfare and responsible ownership, is pleased to announce that a petition filed by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals(PETA) in the New York Supreme Court has been denied, and the proceeding dismissed.

In July 2025, PETA filed a petition seeking to compel AKC to take action under its Charter and Bylaws in response to PETA’s complaints and to declare that AKC acted improperly in its handling of the complaints under Article 78. April will be the last scheduled fit dog walk. We have been going with the Five Flags Club for several years now but since there has been no real interest they are no longer going to schedule walks. Maybe one of the PDFA members would like to arrange for this to continue. If interested let me know. [email protected]
