How Redford ruined his Birthday! 7/30 was his two year birthday and we were going to have cake and hats but- nooooo! in 52 years of having dogs I have never had to have zipper surgery, but- Sunday at 2 am he started throwing up and just could not stop, so at 6 am we went to emergency where I said I am sure he did not eat something can you just give him a shot to settle his stomach? Yes they did that, and Monday AM I am at my vet saying the same thing and doing the same thing, but by Tue I knew something was wrong, he would not eat or move around so x-rays and blood work. Yet it did not show much on the xray just lots of gas so on to the barium study and finally Wed late we saw a round object in the stomach. 6:30 AM Thursday he had it removed. Came home and acted like nothing had even happened. He had to eat tiny meals and he was starving. Then on Friday we continued the tiny meals and rest Really he does not want to rest. He thinks he is being starved and abused. Here we are Sat AM he finally pooped and so I gave him more for breakfast. How will I keep the monster quite for a week? Have to go out with him because he is already trying to eat the lizards. I have had the worst week while he seems to be ok with it all. I told him we could have his birthday pawty later when he's all better. These dogs.
