Service Dogs at Disney 🏰
For some teams, Disney is a dream vacation. For others, it’s a training opportunity—and both can be true.
When done intentionally, early exposure to busy, stimulating places like Disney can be incredibly valuable for young service dogs in training. It’s not about “throwing them in the deep end.” It’s about following a plan—breaking down the experience into manageable pieces, setting clear goals for the day, and creating moments of success that build a dog’s confidence in high-energy environments.
But here’s the thing: those same protocols are just as important for older or fully trained service dogs. Even experienced dogs can benefit from thoughtful preparation and a step-by-step approach when entering a space this busy. The goal is always the same—keep the dog feeling secure, engaged, and able to work.
Whether it’s their first trip or their tenth, we owe it to our dogs to set them up for success. That’s what makes these experiences not just possible, but positive.
