MEET LIZ 🌟💐

Nearly nine months ago, Liz joined our team as our Director of Human Resources. From day one, her positivity has radiated throughout the workplace. She is not only incredibly smart and well-educated but also endlessly supportive of every team member.

Her passion for learning is evident, whether it's about the veterinary field or her own personal growth. Currently, Liz is working full-time while earning her second master's degree! If that doesn't showcase her dedication and drive, we don't know what does!

What truly sets Liz apart is her deep care for each of our team members—not just as employees, but as individuals. Her compassion is unwavering. She brings sunshine to our days, creating a safe space for everyone, while managing every HR responsibility with grace and professionalism.

To us, Liz is so much more than just a Director of HR. She's our unicorn, and we are incredibly grateful to have her on our team. 🦄✨

Today we are saying farewell to Dr. Tan! 🤍

After six incredible years with us, Dr. Tan is embarking on a new chapter in the Pacific Northwest. We are proud to support him in this next step and are grateful for his dedication, expertise, and the meaningful impact he has made on our patients.

While his departure marks a transition, our team remains fully committed to delivering the same exceptional standard of care our patients and clients know and trust. We have been actively preparing for this change and are confident in the strength of our team moving forward.

Earlier this summer, we celebrated five years at our facility, and last weekend, we hosted an appreciation event for the local veterinary community to mark the occasion!

Sirius Sip & Social was a fun-filled afternoon of food, drinks, games, and great company. We feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by such a dedicated and compassionate group of veterinary professionals!

Today, we are celebrating Kylie's first anniversary at Sirius! 🎉

Last August, Kylie ventured into the veterinary field when she joined our team. Over the past year, she has been eager to learn and consistently has handled challenges with the professionalism of someone well beyond her experience.

As a Doctor's Assistant on Dr. Zann's service, Kylie regularly works with larger dogs, and always does so with skill, confidence, and care. No matter how busy the day gets, she remains optimistic and ready to help wherever she can.

We are now accepting donations! 🤍

If you have any old towels, blankets, or pillows that you no longer need, we kindly ask that you consider donating them to our clinic. We have set up a donation drop-off table in our atrium. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated by both our team and our patients!

Donations can be dropped off from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. We are located at 10810 Harney St., Omaha, NE 68154.

Wow!!! We are truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from our incredible community in the past 24 hours!! 👏 👏 👏

Last night, a local rescue group, FurEver Home, Inc. , shared the story of a dog found near a highway exit in Fremont, NE. They named her Marshmallow, and it quickly became clear that she was in pain, as she was unable to put weight on her right hind leg.

Our friends and colleagues at Papillion Animal Hospital took X-rays, which revealed a broken femur. She was then referred to our team for specialized care. After providing an estimate for surgery to repair her injury and relieve her pain, FurEver Home posted Marshmallow’s story, asking the community for help.

In under 24 hours, the community came together to raise $21,000!!!

Thanks to the generosity of our community, Marshmallow will be coming to Sirius on Monday. We are honored to be part of her journey to a pain-free and happy life. Our team is also committed to keeping costs as low as possible, allowing FurEver Home to use the funds raised to help even more pets in need.

Moments like this serve as a powerful reminder for our owners, Dr. Horstman and Jessica, that their decision to move back to Nebraska and fulfill Dr. Horstman's dream and vision of a specialized veterinary orthopedic center in the Midwest. Without relocating their family across the country to start Sirius, our team would not be able to provide exceptional orthopedic care to pets across the region.

Whether you donated, shared Marshmallow's story, or told a friend, YOU made a difference. Because of your support, our board-certified surgeons and team will be able to provide Marshmallow with the care she deserves. 🤍 🐾
