πŸŽ‰ Please join us in welcoming Dr. Joseph Fuller to Sirius Veterinary Orthopedic Center! πŸ’™πŸΎ

Dr. Fuller has always known he wanted to work with animals. Inspired by his father, a veterinarian, he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University and discovered his passion for orthopedic surgery while in veterinary school.

With special interests in CCL disease, fracture repair, and arthroscopy, Dr. Fuller is passionate about helping pets regain mobility, relieve pain, and get back to doing what they love most.

He chose Sirius because of our reputation for exceptional orthopedic care, our incredible team, and the opportunity to continue growing alongside Dr. Christopher Horstman while providing outstanding care to patients and their families.

We're excited to have Dr. Fuller join the Sirius family and can't wait for our patients, clients, and referring veterinarians to get to know him. Please help us give him a warm welcome! πŸ’™πŸΎ

πŸŽ‰ Five years. Countless lives changed.

Today, we're celebrating an incredible milestone, Dr. Geof Zann's 5-year anniversary with Sirius Veterinary Orthopedic Center. πŸ’™

For the past five years, Dr. Zann has dedicated himself to giving pets a second chance at the lives they love. Through more than 2,800 surgeries, countless hours in the operating room, and unwavering compassion for every patient and family, he has made an impact that reaches far beyond our hospital walls.

But what makes Dr. Zann truly special isn't just his surgical skill. It's his leadership, his willingness to teach and support those around him, his sense of humor that brightens even the busiest days, and the genuine care he brings to every patient, client, and teammate.

Dr. Zann, thank you for your hard work, dedication, and the difference you've made over these past five years. Sirius wouldn't be the same without you, and we can't wait to see all you'll accomplish in the years ahead.

Happy 5-year anniversary! πŸ’™πŸΎ

🐾 Comfort isn't just part of what we do, it's at the heart of everything we do. πŸ’™

Meet Wrigley, a 13-year-old Golden Retriever who recently came to Sirius Veterinary Orthopedic Center for a left TPLO and arthroscopy to treat a cranial cruciate ligament rupture.

From the moment our patients arrive until they're ready to head home, we do everything we can to make their experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Whether that means extra blankets, a cozy wagon ride to the car, gentle handling, or plenty of love from our team, every detail matters.

Because healing isn't just about surgery, it's about making every step of the journey a little easier for both our patients and the people who love them. πŸ’™

Wrigley, thank you for trusting us with your care. We wish you a smooth recovery! 🐢✨

πŸ’œ Patient Spotlight: Ruby πŸ’œ

From surgery to serving her community again, Ruby's journey is one we'll never forget.

Earlier this year, Ruby underwent a TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) after suffering a torn cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) in her left knee. With the help of her dedicated family, months of careful recovery, and plenty of love, she's made an incredible comeback.

Today, Ruby is back to doing what she loves most, visiting hospice patients, hospital staff, patients, and visitors as a therapy dog, bringing comfort and smiles wherever she goes. When she's not working, she's enjoying life as every dog should: exploring her family's acreage, running through the yard, and simply being Ruby.

The first Two videos are from before Ruby had surgery, the last video is from after Ruby was cleared from surgery.

Her progress doesn't stop there! Since surgery in January, Ruby has also lost over 10 pounds (from 121 lbs to 110.6 lbs), helping support her joints and long-term mobility.

Stories like Ruby's remind us that recovery is about so much more than healing a knee, it's about getting our patients back to the life they love.

Thank you to Kelly and Ruby for trusting Sirius Veterinary Orthopedic Center to be part of this journey. We couldn't be happier to see Ruby back where she belongs: making a difference, one wag at a time. ❀️🐾
