🐾 We’re About to Make Your Day 🐾

Just when we thought our week couldn’t get any cuter, this sweet French Bulldog mix mama arrived with her SEVEN adorable puppies for their very first visit! 💕

Six girls, one boy, and enough puppy kisses, wiggles, and tiny paws to brighten everyone’s day.

As an added bonus, these little cuties helped make Kenzie’s very first day at TPC one she’ll never forget. We’re not sure if holding a puppy on your first day is considered employee training, but it should be. 🐶❤️

Welcome to the TPC family, Mama and babies - we can’t wait to watch you all grow! Until then, enjoy this dose of puppy perfection and try not to smile. We dare you. 🐾💕

It is with great sadness that we will be saying goodbye to our friend and amazing vet, Dr. Buete, on Friday.

She has inspired us with her veterinary skills, her ability to befriend anyone - 2 legged and 4 legged - and her sense of humor.

Dr. Buete and her family will be headed to Wisconsin where her husband will be doing a fellowship in interventional cardiology. Lots of brain power in that family!

Dr. Buete will be keeping busy with her 3 little ones for the next year while Scott completes his education. Then, she will be back to healing our 4-legged friends when make their way to Minnesota.

We will all miss you, Brittany but wish you the very best. Please come back to visit us!

Meet Gus, the newest (and definitely the softest) member of the pack! 🐾

Believe it or not, Gus is a 100% purebred Labrador. He just happens to be a "Fluffy Lab," which is a real (and adorable) genetic quirk.

Since both of his parents carry a specific recessive gene (the FGF5 gene, for the science nerds out there!), Gus ended up with this amazing long coat instead of the usual short Lab hair.

He still has that classic Lab personality, he’s just rocking a much more majestic tail and some very cute crimped hair behind his ears.

Welcome to the TPC family, Gus! ❤️

🐾 Health Update: Leptospirosis Alert 🐾

We want to share an important heads-up with our community: our clinic has seen 2 cases of Leptospirosis in just the last 3 weeks.

What it is:
Lepto is a bacteria spread through the urine of wildlife like moles, voles, and rodents. It contaminates the soil and standing water, such as puddles.

How it spreads:
It’s easier than you’d think! Your dog can pick it up if their mucous membranes (like the nose or mouth) touch contaminated ground. This means simple habits - like sniffing around the yard or licking their paws after a walk - can put them at risk.

Signs to watch for:
Increased thirst and frequent urination
Fever or lethargy
Poor appetite
Redness or inflammation in the eyes

Because these signs can be quite vague, please contact us immediately if your pet is simply "not feeling well."

Protection:
Keeping your dog’s vaccinations up to date is the best way to protect your pet from this disease.

Zoonotic:
Lepto can be transmitted to people through contact with infected urine.

🎬🍽️ Dinner and a movie… Franklin style!

Our VIP patient Franklin is enjoying the full luxury experience during his stay, complete with a cozy blanket, a tasty dinner, and his favorite show playing bedside. 🐾💕

We believe a little comfort goes a long way in helping our patients feel safe and relaxed while they’re with us. And honestly, we think Franklin has the right idea!
