Meet Teddy, our lovable, mischievous Pitty who just can’t help himself!

A few months back, Teddy injured his tail (what we call “happy tail”), and his family has been doing everything possible to help it heal. Unfortunately, Teddy decided that the pool noodle protecting his tail looked more like a snack than a safety device.

🚨 Recently, he came in on emergency after eating his “tail protector,” and Dr. Clark had to induce vomiting to help him safely pass it. Thankfully, Teddy is doing great now, and we think he might have learned his lesson… maybe!

Big thanks to Julie, one of our amazing kennel assistants, for helping Dr. Clark take such good care of this silly boy during his visit with us. ❤️

It’s National Walk Your Dog Week! Celebrate by taking your pup on a walk!

There’s nothing better than grabbing the leash and heading out with your best friend! Walks aren’t just fun, they’re one of the best things you can do for your dog’s overall health and happiness.

How do daily walks help my pup?
💪 Physical Health: Keeps weight in check, joints moving, and digestion healthy.
🧠 Mental Health: Provides crucial stimulation and an outlet for energy.
🐕 Behavior: A tired pup is a happy, well-behaved pup.
❤️ Bonding: Walks strengthen the connection between you and your dog.

Meet Beau! This 11-year-old gentleman came in this afternoon to get up to date on his vaccines. At his age, preventive care and wellness checkups are especially important because senior pets often need a little extra attention to stay healthy and comfortable.

Just like Beau, senior pets benefit from:

🐾 Wellness Exams Twice a Year: Aging can bring subtle changes that are easy to miss at home. More frequent checkups help us catch concerns early.

🦷 Dental Care: Oral health impacts overall health, including the heart, kidneys, and liver.

💉 Vaccines & Preventives: Staying current protects them from preventable diseases, parasites, and infections.

🧪 Bloodwork & Lab Screening: These help us monitor organ function and spot changes before they become serious.

🛏️ Comfort & Mobility Support: From joint supplements to cozy bedding, small changes make a big difference.

Senior pets may slow down, but they still have so much love (and silliness) to share. Keeping up with preventive care helps them enjoy their golden years to the fullest.

Meet James! This 10-year-old Yorkie came in for his wellness exam with Dr. Clark and our veterinary assistant, Alyssa.

Checkups like this are so important, especially as pets get older. Wellness visits help us catch health changes early, keep preventive care on track, and make sure pets like James stay happy and healthy for years to come.

September is Responsible Dog Ownership Month, which is the perfect reminder to keep up with the little things that make a big difference in your dog’s health:

✅ Wellness Exams: Annual (or semi-annual for seniors) checkups give us a chance to spot concerns early.
✅ Preventive Care: Year-round flea, tick, and heartworm prevention protects your pet and your home.
✅ Dental Care: Healthy teeth = a healthier heart and longer life.
✅ Nutrition & Exercise: Balanced diets and daily activity keep tails wagging.
✅ Identification: Updated tags and microchips bring peace of mind.

James got his checkup! Is your pup due for theirs?

Happy Friday!

Katie's hard at work at the Classen View “front desk” today, ready to greet every visitor with a smile.

Her first customer? Gus, who was still trying to get over the fact that his human "tricked him". But now that he's here, he's making the most of it. His requests? Treats, belly rubs, and ear scratches. Just that and NOTHING else.

If your pet strolled up to the front desk, what’s the FIRST thing they’d ask for? Drop it in the comments ⬇️

Our handsome guest, Western the black lab, was living his best life during boarding! This cutie enjoyed some sunshine, a little fetch, and plenty of tail wags during playtime.

We’re taking notes from Western and zooming into Tuesday with his same playful, joyful, ready-for-anything energy!

Charlie & Deoji are here to bust some myths!

Charlie just got Bravecto Quantum, the first and only 12-month injection for flea and tick prevention in dogs. One dose provides a full year of protection!!

🕷️ Myth #1: Flea & tick season ends in summer.
👉 Truth: They stay active well into fall (and sometimes winter!).

🦟 Myth #2: Mosquitoes & heartworm are only a risk in warmer months.
👉 Truth: In Oklahoma, heartworm is a year-round risk. In fact, Oklahoma is considered a high-risk state for heartworm, so year-round heartworm prevention is essential!
