Happy Halloween…. AND !

This small dog was found by one of our employees after being attacked by two larger dogs. After treating multiple puncture wounds, we took X-rays to check for internal injuries. Thankfully, no serious damage was found- but we did discover some bones in the stomach! 👻🦴

While that might sound spooky this time of year, ingesting bones can actually be very dangerous. They can splinter or cause obstructions, so if your pet gets into something they shouldn’t, contact your veterinarian right away!

Spoiler alert: They don’t.

In a 2022 study, 73% of pet parents thought vet techs just clean cages or feed pets— but in reality, they’re trained medical professionals who monitor anesthesia, run diagnostics, assist in surgery, and provide critical patient care.

This National Vet Tech Week, let’s give credit where it’s due. Drop a 💙 to thank a vet tech who keeps tails wagging and hearts beating— all while skipping their lunch hour and surviving off caffeine as if it was a food group! 🐾
