🌡️☀️ Heatstroke can become a life-threatening emergency for pets in just minutes.

As temperatures rise, remember:
🐾 Never leave your pet in a parked car
🐾 Provide plenty of fresh, cool water
🐾 Limit outdoor activity during the hottest parts of the day
🐾 Make sure your pet has access to shade or air conditioning

Signs of heatstroke include:
⚠️ Excessive panting
⚠️ Drooling
⚠️ Weakness or collapse
⚠️ Vomiting or diarrhea
⚠️ Bright red gums
⚠️ Difficulty breathing

If you suspect your pet is suffering from heatstroke, move them to a cool area and contact your veterinarian immediately. Early treatment can save lives.

Welcome Dr. Madison Baker to the Ideal team!

Dr. Baker is a graduate of University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care to her patients while building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. She enjoys getting to know families and partnering with them to help their animals live happy, healthy lives.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Baker loves spending time outdoors hiking and fishing, as well as making memories with friends and family. She also enjoys adventures with her Australian Cattle Dog, Bristol.

Dr. Baker is excited to join the team at Ideal Veterinary Hospital and looks forward to serving the Oak Ridge community.
