My long time "right hand" woman (nurse, technician, and so much more) is retiring, and Veterinary Internal Medicine Referral (located in Knoxville, TN, at Blackford Veterinary Surgery Referral) is looking for her replacement--my loss could be your gain! It's a unique position that allows you to wear multiple hats every day, and the right person for the job will be self-motivated and can expect a schedule that is conducive to a healthy work-life balance. Open to both part time and full time availability for those of you who may just be getting back into veterinary medicine, or those who want a little less hectic pace than the ER or super busy small animal practice. Duties include:

*Assisting with ultrasounds and procedures. Proper and safe animal restraint skills are crucial.
*Scheduling pets and preparing owners for their appointments.
*Preparing samples for pick up/shipping to outside labs.
*Going over estimates and checking clients out.
*Keeping track of drugs/supplies.
*Keeping our work area clean and neat.
*We are happy to train those motivated to learn.
