On Check the Chip Day, we’re reminding families that pets with microchips are twice as likely (dogs) — and in cats, more than 20× as likely — to find their way home compared to pets without one.

One of AAHA’s brand-new standards asks practices to:

AAHA Day 2025 – Thank You for Celebrating With Us! 🎉🐾

Sorry for the late post!

We had an amazing time celebrating AAHA Day and our 20th anniversary with all of you!

From the petting zoo and delicious food to the games, raffles, and local rescues, the day was filled with fun, smiles, and lots of wagging tails.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out (and braved the weather!) to support our hospital and community. We are so proud to be AAHA-accredited—a recognition that only about 15% of veterinary hospitals in North America achieve—and we couldn’t do it without you.

Yes, the animals sought shelter in our rehab building. 🐄 🐐 🐰
