🌞🐾 Too Hot for Paws! 🐾🌞
If it's too hot for you, it's too hot for your pet!
As temperatures rise, remember these simple ways to keep your furry family members safe:
💧 Provide plenty of fresh, cool water.
🌳 Walk early in the morning or later in the evening.
🔥 Test the pavement with the back of your hand for 7 seconds—if it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws!
🏠 Keep pets indoors in air conditioning or a cool, shaded area during the hottest part of the day.
🚗 Never leave your pet in a parked car—not even for a few minutes. Temperatures can become dangerous incredibly fast.
⚠️ Watch for signs of heatstroke:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Weakness or stumbling
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Bright red gums
• Collapse
If you notice any of these signs, move your pet to a cool area, offer small amounts of water, and contact your veterinarian immediately.
Let's help keep our four-legged friends safe, cool, and wagging all summer long! ❤️🐶🐱
