🚨🐾 It’s the Law in Pennsylvania: 🐾🚨

In Pennsylvania, it's illegal to leave a dog (or cat) unattended in a vehicle in extreme heat.

Under the Animals in Distress Law (Act 104 of 2018):
✅ Law enforcement, animal control, and emergency responders can legally remove a pet from a hot car if it's in imminent danger.
✅ These professionals are protected from liability if the vehicle is damaged during rescue.
🚫 Citizens are not allowed to break into vehicles—but you should call 911 immediately if you see an animal in distress.

This “Hot Car Bill” was created to save lives—and now that summer is here, it’s more important than ever.

Please, never leave your pet in a parked car. Not even for a minute.
Let’s keep them safe, cool, and with us for all the sunny days ahead. ☀️🐶💛

Lyme disease is extremely prevalent in our state, which is why we recommend vaccinating your dog against Lyme disease, as well as using flea & tick preventatives year round. While fleas and ticks are more active as the weather gets warmer, they can still survive in colder temperatures - as low as 30-35 degrees!
