Clearview Animal Hospital will be closed on Monday (May 25th) for the Memorial Day holiday so our team may spend time with their families.

We will reopen at 8 AM on Tuesday, May 26th. If you have an emergency during this time, please consider visiting any of the emergency/urgent care veterinary facilities listed on our homepage at www.clearviewah.com or mentioned on our main phone line at 717-632-4757.

Mike and Courtney from Clearview Animal Hospital recently met with volunteers to deliver over 400lbs of pet food donations collected from our staff and clients to SCCAP Gettysburg and the Office of Aging. Previous donations were also delivered to New Hope Ministries in New Oxford and Littlestown, as well as Hanover Area Council of Churches.
This ongoing project helps provide pet food options at local food pantries, supporting both pets and the people who love them. The human-animal companionship bond is incredibly important, and no family should have to choose between feeding themselves and feeding their pets.
We are also grateful to Hills for helping provide small bags of pet food that are being sent with New Hope’s mobile vehicle to serve 18 different rural locations throughout Adams County.
We encourage anyone who would like to help to donate directly to these wonderful organizations, or reach out to Courtney if you’d like to drop off donations at Clearview Animal Hospital.

Raffle basket tickets can be purchased all month for $1each or $5 for 6 tickets.

April is Heartworm Awareness Month!

Our April raffle basket fundraiser will benefit the heartworm positive dogs undergoing treatment with Operation Paws for Homes Rescue. Operation Paws for Homes is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization devoted to the rescue, rehabilitation and placement of dogs and cats who have overcome great odds and deserve wonderful, caring forever homes.

Heartworm positive dogs are less likely to receive safe harbor if they find themselves in a shelter. Rural shelters rely on rescues like OPH to save as many dogs as possible. OPH trains their fosters to be educated and understanding of heartworm disease, treatment and recovery so their fosters are not hesitant to foster a heartworm positive dog.
In 2023, OPH treated 65 heartworm positive dogs.
In 2024, OPH treated 45 heartworm positive dogs
In 2025, OPH treated 72 heartworm positive dogs
And so far in 2026, 19 dogs have already been treated.

Our Clearview Animal Hospital House Call Team had a wonderful time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at Cross Keys Village during our quarterly veterinary clinic! 🍀🐾

It was such a joy caring for the beloved pets of this amazing community while sharing a little holiday spirit along the way. From wellness checks to lots of cuddles, our team was grateful for the opportunity to keep tails wagging and pets feeling their best.
Thank you to everyone at Cross Keys Village for welcoming us—we’re already looking forward to our next visit! 💚

🐾March Raffle Basket benefits Good Old Tails Senior Animal Rescue🐾

Good Old Tails specializes in helping senior dogs and cats who have been abandoned in shelters. They have also been known to take a youngster or two when they are able to help. As a small rescue, they are limited primarily by finances, as most of the animals they take in require extensive veterinary care.
Senior pets are often overlooked simply because of their age, yet they have so much love left to give. Good Old Tails steps in when others won’t—providing medical treatment, comfort, and a second chance at a safe, loving home. From dental work and medications to life-saving surgeries, every dollar raised goes directly toward giving these deserving animals the care they need.
Please consider donating in any amount to help Good Old Tails continue their mission of saving “Just One More!” No contribution is too small, and every ticket purchased or dollar donated makes a difference in the life of a senior pet.
