We are working with Peace Will Follow to help rehome some roosters and hens rescued from a c**k fighting situation. There are more than 50 roosters and a lot of hens. For obvious reasons the roosters would need to be the only male in the flock. If you are interested please reach out to Samantha with Peace Will Follow Rescue and she will get you in touch with the organizers. Please spread the word to help this awesome rescue!

Meet Emily! She's a Certified Vet Tech who has a number of secret talents. Not only can she scrub into surgery or handle a fractious cat, she is also a champion dairy cow showman. This past week, she's been attending Shippensburg Fair and taking home Junior Champion honors.

July has been a very busy month for the Compassion team. Dr. Anne and Dr. Andrew have both been hustling to make sure our large animal clients get health checks and health certificates for fair season. Both vets are USDA accredited and ensure that all animals are in tip-top shape prior to competition.
We have a few team members who have been out at the fairs competing as well.
Dalton has been with CAH for a few years now as a technician, and he is currently completing his undergrad classes prior to vet school. He took home Champion honors this week with his cattle and pigs at the York Fair.
Also pictured is Natasha, who is a Certified Vet Tech, and she has been with CAH off and on since Dr. Anne hired her during a farm call back in 2011. She's pictured with her niece and nephew (Avery and Lane) who took home Supreme Champion and 3rd place at the South Mountain Fair.
We are so proud of you! We'd love to see your Fair Animals in the comment section below 👇

Today was a fun celebration with the CAHLLC crew. We were able to have a behind the scenes tour of the East Coast Exotic Animal Rescue. We try to do something animal related every year as a group trip. This organization has helped quite a few animals out of bad living situations. We all love animals, but not all animals make a good domestic pet. If you're interested in donating to a small non-profit, these folks do a good job caring for critters.

HUGE multi-generation estate sale!

5777 Pine Rd
Thomasville, Pa 17364

Near corner of Pine rd and n grant rd. N grant rd touches route 30 at martins chips.

Thursday through Saturday 6/26-6/28
8am - 3pm each day.
It will be down in the pole building/garage at bottom of property behind main house.

*Lots of the ground on the property is soft especially after rain, so please park at your own risk. Try to park along the road or there’s room for 5-6 cars up at the house and you can walk down the driveway.
**We will NOT open until 8am on the dot Thursday morning, so line up at the big garage door after you have parked.

If you buy to collect or resell, this is the one you should be hitting this weekend. We have been working for 2 months non-stop daily to DENSELY pack a pole building full of an entire 72 year lifetime of possessions in addition to a huge walk up attic full of inherited items lots of which have been wrapped in newspaper for 30 years or more. Antiques, art, lamps, furniture, dishes, vases, animal themed stuff, animal supplies, home decor, HUNDREDS if not over a thousand pieces of (mostly ladies) clothing and shoes, electronics, vintage items, stuffed animals/toys(some vintage like 80’s/90’s or older), everyday household, garden/yard decor, 2 antique Hoosier cabinets, bicycles, yard tools, air conditioners, ladders, microwaves, costume jewelry, the list goes on.
*Things we do NOT have - gold/silver, coins, guns.

Some items are pre-priced like $5-20 range, but ALOT of it is not tagged and will be $1-4 range, just grab a handful of untagged items, ask us for a price and it’ll be a decent “yard sale” price. That being said, just please have patience as people line up at our “check out” table so we can help everyone accordingly/fairly/equally.

*Please no messages, no comments, no pre-sales, no holds. We will not have time to answer any questions and we won’t, just come to the sale. We are still setting up as we speak unpacking tons of clothes onto tables.

We have “some” boxes and bubble wrap, but when we’re out, we’re out, so if you know you buy/collect/resell fragile items, you’d be wise to a bring boxes and newspaper or bubble wrap.
Everything is CASH ONLY. No Venmo’s, PayPal’s, or internet type payments.

Hope to see you there!

Friendly reminder that our office will be closed Friday 6/27. Please call ahead to get your medication refills.

🐾 Meet Valkyrie (Val)– The Lovable Little Houdini! 🐾 Age: 5 years | Breed: Beagle | Special Needs: Allergies & Epilepsy Val is a sweet, spunky 5-year-old female/spayed beagle with a heart full of love and a nose that just won't quit! She's curious, clever, and known around here as a bit of an escape artist — so a secure yard and vigilant family are a must. Val thrives in a home where she’s kept safe and busy with snuggles, scent games, and gentle adventures. Val does have a few special needs: she manages allergies with a specific diet and allergy injections. She’s doing well on medication to control her epilepsy. She’ll need a family who’s patient, attentive, and willing to continue her care — in return, she’ll give you loyalty, laughter, and more tail wags than you can count. This little gal is looking for a calm, loving home where she can be part of the family and continue living her best life. 🏡 Could you be the steady, caring hero Valkyrie needs?
