As July comes to an end, we are incredibly proud and thankful to say that CB&K Exotics has officially been in business for TWO YEARS! 🎉🐍🦎
It is honestly hard to put into words what these past two years have meant to us.
When we first opened the doors to CB&K Exotics, we had a dream, a love for animals, and a desire to build something different. We wanted to create more than just another pet store. We wanted to build a place where animals receive the care they deserve, customers are always treated honestly, and education is placed above simply making a sale.
Because of our incredible community, loyal customers, friends, family, and those who travel from near and far to support us, that dream has grown into more than we ever thought possible.
We have exceeded every expectation we had for growth. We have outgrown spaces, expanded our selection, welcomed countless new animals, helped families find the perfect pets, assisted with rescues and rehomes, provided education, hosted special events, and formed friendships that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.
There have been long days, sleepless nights, difficult decisions, mistakes, lessons learned, unexpected challenges, and moments when we wondered how we were going to get everything done. Owning a small business is not always easy, and there is so much that happens behind the scenes that most people never see.
But every difficult moment has been worth it.
It is worth it when we see the excitement on a child’s face as they hold a reptile for the first time. It is worth it when a nervous new owner leaves feeling confident and prepared. It is worth it when an animal that needed help gets a second chance. It is worth it when customers come back just to visit, share updates, or show us how well their new family member is doing.
Those moments remind us why CB&K Exotics exists.
We also want to recognize Nicole, who is now an owner of CB&K Exotics and an important part of our future. Nicole has stepped into this journey with us and has already shown how much she cares about the business, our animals, our customers, and the direction CB&K is heading. We are thankful to have her beside us as we enter this next chapter and continue preparing for even bigger things ahead.
From John, Amber, Nicole, and the entire CB&K Exotics family, we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Even the smallest act of support has mattered more than you may ever know.
CB&K Exotics is a family-owned small business, and every purchase truly helps support our families, care for our animals, grow our educational programs, and continue improving the store for our community.
We know we are not perfect, but we promise to continue learning, growing, and doing everything we can to provide the best experience possible. Our mission will always be built around the values that have guided us from the beginning:

We are beyond grateful for how far CB&K Exotics has come in only two years, but we truly believe this is just the beginning. We have big dreams, exciting plans, and a vision for the future that is even greater than what we have already accomplished.
