🐾 Celebrating 26 Years of Dedication to Veterinary Medicine 🐾

After an incredible 26 years in veterinary medicine, our Elaine has made the decision to step away from the profession and begin a new chapter. ❤️

For more than two decades, she has been a familiar voice on the phone, a welcoming face at the front desk, and an important part of helping countless pets receive the care they need.

While we are certainly going to miss having her as part of our team, we are incredibly grateful for the years of dedication, memories, laughter, and care she has shared with us!

Please join us in thanking her for 26 amazing years of service to veterinary medicine and wishing her nothing but happiness! 🐶🐱🐾❤️

🚨WE NEED YOUR HELP!🚨

We already have some really fantastic animals waiting for homes and with the number of animals coming in this week, we will be full in a matter of days. Henderson County Animal Services is also completely full.

Saving the animals in our community is always a community effort. Every shelter, every foster, every volunteer, every adopter plays an important part in making sure the animals in our community have somewhere to go when they need us. Right now, we are in need of more room to save more lives.

When you adopt from us, you're not just saving the life of the animal you bring home. You're helping to make space for us to take in another animal from the county center and give them a chance at adoption too. This means that ONE adoption can help save TWO lives!

Several of our animals have been with us for more than 2 weeks, which means their adoption fees have been reduced to just $20. Meaning that for just $20 for a longer stay animal or $50 for one of our newer residents, you can go home with a new best friend AND the knowledge that your adoption is helping to make room for another animal who needs a chance.

We have some truly amazing animals waiting to meet you! If you have been thinking about adopting, NOW IS THE TIME!

You might just be the reason two animals get their second chance.

Introducing our new HAMbassador, Waldo the dwarf hamster!
Waldo was born with 3 legs so he needed someone to adopt him, and Mills River Animal Clinic took on the challenge!
Now, Waldo spends his days hiding in his bedding (hence the name Waldo), snacking on food and veggies, and "driving" his racecar around the clinic.

Nothing like a Maine C**n kitten to brighten our day! Gato came in with his sister, Hyla, to start their kitten vaccines, and we're so excited to watch them both grow. 🐈 ❤️ 💙 💜
