🎆 It’s almost the 4th of July — you know what that means?!?

DRUGS! 💊
(But like… the sedating kind. For pets. Obviously.)

If your dog or cat gets anxious with fireworks and loud booms, now’s the time to give us a call! 📞 We’ll get the right medications ready so your fuzzy friend can stay calm and safe during the unnecessarily LOUD celebrations. ❤️🐾

Take it from Duncan — he’s already an anxious guy and fully prepared to launch himself in and out of his mom’s lap all night long. He’s channeling full Doechii “Anxiety” vibes right now, but we’re hoping some meds will help him chill out and actually enjoy the holiday.

Reach out sooner rather than later to make sure we have the right meds (and enough of them!) for your pet’s needs.

Friday was the longest day of the year—summer solstice vibes in full effect! 😎 We kept our shades on all day… well, except for Carl, who tolerated his for a solid one second before deciding he was over it.

Friendly reminder: flea and tick season is in full swing! Make sure your pets are up to date on prevention—and don’t forget your own sunscreen too! ☀️ Holler at us if you need a refill!

Today we got to meet this handsome meatball named Stanley! 🐈‍⬛

Stanley hasn’t been feeling his best lately—he’s been vomiting, acting a bit lethargic, and hasn’t had much of an appetite. We’re sending out lab work to check his values and get a better idea of what might be going on. In the meantime, he received some subcutaneous fluids, an anti-nausea injection, and we’ll be sending him home with an appetite stimulant. Hoping for answers and a speedy recovery for this sweet guy! 💙

This weekend, our wonderful Dr. Golden and her boyfriend John volunteered with our local Street Dog Coalition! 🐾❤️

The Street Dog Coalition’s mission is to “provide free veterinary care to pets of people experiencing homelessness”—and they’re now serving in over 60 cities across the U.S!

Dr. McMullan isn’t just a dad to his two grown children and his pets—he’s also the honorary father figure to the entire Pinnacle staff. We honestly can’t put into words how much we appreciate him… but we’ll try anyway.

Around here, it’s not unusual to hear someone say, “Let me go ask Dad.” (Yes, we really call him that.)

Whether he’s calmly finishing a surgery during a freak power outage, unclogging the drains in the parking lot in a heavy rainstorm, checking on all of his staff during a hurricane, fixing something no one else can, or keeping spirits high with his… well, enthusiastic singing, Dr. McMullan is the heart of our clinic. He goes above and beyond every single day—for his family, his team, and his patients.

Thanks for creating the amazing work family we’re proud to be part of.

Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible dads and pet dads out there—today is for you! 🐾👨‍⚕️💙

One word: Sketti. 🍝

Twiggy’s mom sent us this ridiculously adorable photo, and we just knew it had to be seen by all. I mean, who would’ve guessed Twiggy would rise to fame as a spaghetti-slurping legend in these parts?

We added a little speech bubble with how we imagine she pronounces “spaghetti,” laminated it for good measure, and now it lives in our treatment room—so we can bask in the glory of this small queen 👑 every single day.

We figured it was time for another photo of “adorable rabbit wearing baby socks.” 🐰🧦

Meet Floppy! She came in for her spay today. She’s a little on the thicker side, which made the procedure a bit trickier—but everything went smoothly, and she did great!

Here she is recovering like a champ, cozy in her blanket and sporting baby socks on her ears to help keep her warm. Once she’s more awake, she’ll get some fresh veggies before heading home. 💕🥬

We treat cats, dogs, rodents, and reptiles… and today, a very cooperative cicada. 🪰🩺 No abnormal sounds, just a whole lotta screams.

Soooooooo how’s the cicada situation in y’all’s neck of the woods? 🌳Are your pets making tasty treats out of them or just holding them in their mouth while they buzz? Luckily, these guys aren’t toxic but eating multiple might cause some stomach upset.

Due to how much we are hearing about pets eating them recently, we might need to ditch chicken, fish, and lamb formulas and might need to pitch the idea that start making a cicada based diet! What do you think? Would your pet eat it? 🍽️

What could be tastier than a foam Nerf soccer ball? ⚽️ Theo says absolutely nothing!

Unfortunately, Theo didn’t get to keep his tasty snack in his tummy. 🤢 He quickly made a trip to see us and we immediately gave him a dose of Clevor (eye drops to induce vomiting). After digging through lots of vomit (perks of the job, folks!💪🏻)we recovered a decent amount of foam but not a squeaker.

Dr. McMullan believes Theo got most of the foreign material out, but not all. His mom will monitor him for any further vomiting, lack of appetite, and lethargy.

Feel better Theo, please make better snack choices! 🦴

She’s soooo FANCY! 👒

We have shown you her before but this is, once again, the one and only Prana. We are always PUMPED to see what she looks like when she comes in next! Mom said she was most recently rocking dragons on her sides.🐲

Despite her fancy looks, she loves rolling in all things stinky (even the stinky treats we offered her in the exam room!) Her mom says she particularly loves to roll on Cod skin treats.🐟🤢

If you want your canine friend to be as fancy as Prana, holler at her mom! Her mom runs and uses dog safe dyes from OPAWS.
