Exciting News from Western Carolina Veterinary Surgery!

We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Chris Hoffman, DVM, DACVS-SA, to our surgical team starting July 7th!

Dr. Hoffman comes to us from an orthopedics-only practice in Madison, Wisconsin, and brings extensive experience and a strong passion for orthopedic surgery. We're honored he chose Western Carolina Veterinary Surgery as his next place to practice. He and his wife, also a veterinarian, have been dreaming to move to our area for a while and finally decided it was time to take the leap.

Dr. Hoffman graduated from Michigan State University in 2015, then did his surgical residency at the University of Minnesota, ultimately becoming board-certified in 2020. His focus on orthopedic procedures aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing the highest level of care to our patients and referring partners. His addition to the team allows us to expand our services and availability, ensuring we can continue to support you and your clients with timely, expert surgical care.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Hoffman to WNC!

As always, we’re here for your orthopedic surgical needs—feel free to reach out with referrals, consults, or questions.

Some days we really do get to play with puppies. These 2 cuties both needed surgery. 1 for a fracture after jumping off the couch and the other for patella luxations. They both did great and we enjoyed all the snuggles we received.

No matter why Atlas was here, whether it’s for surgery or a recheck exam, he’s always all smiles. We love this big boy and are so happy he’s doing so well after needing TPLO surgery for both of his torn cruciate ligaments.

Such a cutie! Bentley unfortunately didn’t quite stick the landing from his couch and fractured his leg. He’ll hopefully be feeling better in no time once Dr. Crouch repairs the fracture. Until then he’ll be getting all the love from our amazing team! 😍

When your bandage is bigger than you are😂
Zoey had to come see Dr. Crouch so he coujd repair her fractured Radius/ulna after jumping out of her new parents truck before they could catch her. She may be small but she’s fast! She has a smaller cast now that will help protect her surgery until it’s all healed.

Bonnie found a toy as she walked in for surgery. She held on to it until she was fast asleep. Her TPLO surgery went well and soon she’ll be on her way to full recovery.
