CAUTION - VIDEO OF SURGERY BEING PERFORMED - This was a really cool case that we got to see this week - an 11 yr old spayed female cat presented for an unrelated issue at the end of July, but upon examination, Dr. Donofro felt a "mass" in her abdomen that was concerning. After receiving and x-ray and an ultrasound from MOVES with Dr. Brunson, the owners elected to do an exploratory surgery, which revealed a GIANT hairball in this sweet girl's stomach! Dr. Pernell said he had never extracted that large of a hairball from a patient before. You'll be happy to know that she is making a wonderful recovery at home and we are hopeful that she will continue to do well!

What happens when our patients don’t fit in the kennels we have? They get to sit in the office with Sarah! Does Sarah get any work done? No. Does Sarah get all the snuggles? Yes all of them. At 168 lbs, we hope Nala gets to feeling better soon!

Construction update!

Happy Hump day, LPAH family! Just a quick update for you - the construction crew are going to be paving our driveway and on 64 tomorrow. If you have an appointment tomorrow, or you need to come to the hospital to pick up anything, please know that there may be some heavy construction traffic and/or delays.

Happy Weekend, friends! Hope everyone is staying cool!

Anyone in the area between Laurel Park and Horseshoe area missing these two sweet boys? Sarah managed to bribe them and keep them safe until the Animal Control officer was able to come pick them up. They are safe and at the shelter now. Please share - I know they’re are being missed!

ETA - they were found in the Treehaven neighborhood, but it looked as though they had been running for a while.
