Some goodbyes are harder than others… but this one is more of a “see you later.” 💙

This week is Mike’s last week with us before he begins an exciting new journey heading off to veterinary school! While we’re going to miss seeing him around the hospital, we couldn’t be more proud of everything he’s accomplished and everything that’s ahead for him.

Mike has been such a valued part of our team, and anyone who has worked with him knows how caring, hardworking, and dedicated he is to both our patients and their people. We have no doubt he is going to make an incredible veterinarian and positively impact so many lives along the way.

Mike, thank you for all of your hard work, kindness, random fun facts, and the laughter you brought to our days. We are cheering you on every step of the way and can’t wait to see all you accomplish. Your future patients are going to be so lucky to have you. 🐾

🎓 Huge congratulations to Maddie and Jess on officially graduating from Blue Ridge Community College! We are so proud of our two newest licensed technicians and all the hard work they’ve put in to reach this milestone. 🩺💙

We also love that four of our amazing technicians: Lauren, Jenna (& Hallow 🐾), Shannon, and Melanie — were able to be there cheering them on and celebrating this special moment. Sycamore is truly a family. ❤️

Big congratulations to our TWO newest Licensed Veterinary Technicians, Maddie and Jess! 🎉🐾

Both Maddie and Jess started here at Sycamore as assistants, and through dedication, long hours, and an incredible amount of hard work, they’ve reached this amazing milestone.

Passing the Virginia state boards (VTNE) is no small feat. These exams are rigorous, demanding, and require a deep understanding of veterinary medicine, patient care, and clinical skills. Earning this license is truly an honor and a reflection of their commitment to the animals they care for every single day.

We are so proud to watch them grow into the skilled, compassionate technicians they are today. Our team—and our patients—are so lucky to have them. 💙
