Thoughtful care is part of everything we do—from how we treat our patients to the small details that help them heal.

One of those details is growing right inside our hospital… our hydroponic garden 🌿

For many of our small mammals and exotic patients, fresh greens aren’t just a treat—they’re essential to recovery. After procedures, pets like rabbits and guinea pigs need to keep eating to maintain proper gut function, and fresh, garden-grown greens are often the first thing they’ll go for.

We’ve found they prefer it, eat sooner, and recover more smoothly.

It’s a simple addition, but it makes a meaningful difference—because the little things matter when it comes to your pet’s health.

🌈 Ever seen a tail that looks like a perfect little work of art? This chameleon's curled tail isn't just for show - it's a built-in tool for survival.
✨Fun Fact: A chameleon's tail is prehensile, meaning it works like a fifth limb! They use it to grip branches, keep balance, and even hand securely while climbing through trees.

Kaiser may be German, not Irish… but he’s still feeling the luck today 🍀🐾

Wishing all of our amazing clients and their pets a safe and happy St. Patrick’s Day! 💚

We hope your day is full of good fortune, a little mischief, and maybe a few extra treats (Kaiser fully supports that part 😉)

At Oasis Veterinary Hospital, we know how curious your pets can be — those noses and paws are always on a mission to explore! But that same curiosity can sometimes lead them into trouble with toxic foods, plants, medications, or common household items.

Pet poisonings can happen fast, and the signs aren’t always obvious. That’s why taking a moment to pet-proof your home and yard can make all the difference in keeping your fur-covered or scaled family members safe. Prevention is one of the most important parts of keeping them happy and healthy.

If you ever think your pet may have ingested something harmful, don’t wait. Call us right away at (804) 348-8808, or after hours, contact the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at 888-426-4435 for immediate guidance.

Your pet’s health and well-being are at the heart of everything we do at Oasis — where compassionate care meets trusted expertise.
