Did you know that we also offer drop-off appointments in addition to our regular in-person appointments?

Drop-off appointments allow owners with a busy schedule to drop their pet off with us, and pick up at a later time. Rest assured, we still run the appointment as if you were there with your pet!

At the time of drop-off, you will fill out a drop-off sheet that covers your pet's recent medical history, as well as any concerns you would like to be addressed during the appointment. Our Doctors will then perform a physical exam on your pet, and will give you a call with physical exam findings. They will talk through the recommended next steps before proceeding with diagnostics.

Call us to get on our schedule for medical exams, check-ups, vaccines, and belly rubs too!

✨ Teamwork makes the dream work✨

This is Graycie, she presented to our clinic recently after several days of not eating at home. In house blood work was completed, and it revealed that she was in the early stages of hepatic lipidosis.

Hepatic lipidosis is a condition in which fat accumulates in the liver impairing its normal function. This excessive fat buildup within liver cells can cause liver failure and can be fatal if not treated promptly.

Our doctors were able to put their skills together to get Graycie back on the right track! Dr. Wondra placed an esophagostomy tube, which involves placing a tube into the esophagus through a small incision in the neck, allowing for the feeding of a nutrient-rich liquid diet. While Dr. Wallentine calculated and planned an exact diet plan for Graycie, as well as educated her owner on how to feed and care for her at home while the feeding tube was in place!

Managing an esophageal feeding tube for your pet at home can be daunting but this is a great example that with guidance owners can provide excellent care at home, just like Graycie's owner did!

A good reminder that if you notice your cat has stopped eating for 48 hours or longer, it is time for an exam! Quick diagnosis and intervention can save your pets life!

This man was my most feared professor during vet school. He taught anesthesia and I would shake in my boots if he was on clinics! A few years ago I bumped into him at a music concert and proudly informed him that he didn't intimidate me anymore! We have developed a strong friendship since then and he honored me by stopping by the clinic to check our anesthesia machine (which passed with flying colors!) Thank you Dr. Hodgson for holding the bar high, and also being a man of integrity.

Interesting case of the week! This mastiff had a toe he kept licking at until the owner noticed a mass growing by the nailbed. With some sedation, we discovered it was the dog equivalent of an ingrown nail! We removed most of the nail to allow it to regrow completely which it had already started doing.
