Can anyone help this young couple get their puppy seen at a vet hospital? I’ve been talking to them, but I don’t believe I have the resources as a mobile vet to fix this pup, and I didn’t want to use up the few $$ they have just putting on another “bandaid” of sorts without getting to the root of the problem (w/ X-rays, bloodwork, etc. that I don’t have within my practice).

Their only local options that I know are open after noon on Saturdays are Little Apple Veterinary Hospital (open until 5p), or KSU.

There are some “people foods” that seem benign enough to share with your furry friends, but always remember, dogs and cats are not just furry humans! Their bodies process foods, chemicals, medications, etc differently than ours do, and sharing your yummies with them may lead to an upset stomach, or sometimes much worse!

A common one that too many dog owners are not aware of: GRAPES & RAISINS are NOT safe for dogs! So, before you go sharing your trail mix (even without the chocolate pieces), or allow the dog to “vacuum” up indiscriminately after your snacking toddler, be sure to educate yourself on which foods can send your dog to the hospital!
