We did it! Everything is moved out of the Skyway Drive building.

After weeks of packing, sorting, lifting, and discovering muscles we didn’t even know existed, our boxes of supplies and equipment are finally stored. We’ve downsized furniture, gear, and more random dog toys than we can count. Who knew dog trainers could collect this much stuff?

But the chaos was worth it! Tomorrow is a brand-new year and MuttSchool is off on a new adventure!

In 2026, we’ll still be helping dogs and their people succeed, just in a slightly different way than before. Private lessons will happen in client homes and other locations while we line up our next training space. Same heart, same expertise, same mission — just a little more mobile.

So grab your party hats and raise a toast to 2026. The boxes may be stacked, but the fun, learning, and adventures are just getting started! Happy New Year!🥂

For over 15 years, you’ve trusted MuttSchool with your dogs, your goals, your schedules, and occasionally your last shred of patience—and we are truly grateful for every single one of you.

Each dog we’ve trained has shaped the MuttSchool story, and we wouldn’t trade a single moment. We’ve had the joy of watching tiny puppies grow into full-grown GOOD dogs, and over the years, many of you have returned with a second, third, or even your fourth or fifth “new dog” to train with us.

Every pup who has walked through our doors has left pawprints on our hearts, and every training session has been filled with laughter, a few canine challenges, and many unforgettable moments. Thank you for sharing your pups with us. We have cherished every single minute we’ve shared with you and your dog.

After many wonderful years in our large facility, it’s time for MuttSchool to take a walk in a new direction.

Mary plans to semi-retire, but she is deeply committed to continuing our Good Dog Program—a series of 30-minute sessions that focus on off-leash obedience, impulse control, attention, confidence-building, and supporting your dog's emotional well-being through a mind-body balance. This program helps dogs heal, grow, and succeed, and has been one of the most rewarding parts of her career.

And the truth is, we don't need a 5,600-square-foot space to do this meaningful work.

❌ What’s ending in December: DaySchool, group classes, and boarding. However, one of our current trainers will be taking these on. We’ll be happy to connect you as soon as the details are finalized.

✅ What’s continuing: Private lessons and confidence course.

Our Story


  • Training a new puppy can be frustrating. So can changing the behavior of dogs who’s challenging habits have been reinforced for a while. In our community, canines can come to MuttSchool. While they’re here, they’ll be in the care of CCPDT certified professionals with experience in positive reinforcement training, behavior modification, canine enrichment and fitness.

  • MuttSchool’s instructors teach you along with your dog. You and your dog will establish a system of lifelong communication by building behaviors and strengthening skills. We teach so that it’s a fun, positive experience for both of you. We are dedicated to provide you with the tools you need to have a confident, well-mannered and happy canine.

  • We offer group classes, private in-home lessons, behavior modification, day training (where you drop off your dog in the morning and pick them up before 6pm and we do the training for you) and board and train. The end result? Wagging tails and happy families all around.
