Another amazing rescue by Melanie and her drone team of CT Doggone Volunteer Recovery!
🎉Charlie the Madison cockapoo was found!!! (See reunited pics in comments!)
Sean & Erica from Redcon One came to fly tonight because we got a sighting on Neck Road and the people watched Charlie cross the East River and train tracks towards Horseshoe Road in Guilford. Sean & Erica found Charlie curled up sleeping in the middle of the marsh. Husband owner went out with his friend to see if they could get him. When they got closer to Charlie he heard them and took off running. At the point we backed them off. Decided maybe a female voice would work better. Sent Lauren out and directed her on what to do. Step by step, turn left, turn right, continue straight, go straight between the trees, call for him softly and calmly. Charlie lifted his head. We had her continue talking to him. Charlie stood up and wagged his tail. Walking towards Lauren’s voice calling for him then finally Charlie was in Lauren’s arms, safe!! Nail biting situation for sure!!! This was over 3 1/2 hours. I would like to thank Liz from Madison Animal Control, Mary from Zenzu Animal Communication, Rocco for flying the drone during the day, the whole Madison community for all their help, Charlie’s owners for hanging in there and especially Melanie from CT Dog Gone Recovery for being there every step if the way for the past 3 days!!!
Welcome home Charlie!
🐾 MISSING MADISON, CT 🐾
This little guy got spooked in his yard and took off. He was last seen at Autumn Lake Healthcare off Wildwood Ave. He is very fast, so please do not call out or chase. Call in any sightings, thank you!
